The priest began to talk. "We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Luca Romano and Alaina Hamilton, anyone here who in lawful impediment is against this marriage please state now or forever hold your peace."
Silence filled the room.
He looked at luca. "Luca Romano, please repeat these words after me.I Luca Romano, take thee, Alaina Hamilton, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my troth."
"I Luca Romano, take thee, Alaina Hamilton, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my troth."
Here, the wedding ring is placed on the finger:
"With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen."
"With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen." Luca copied slipping the ring into her finger
The vicar then turned to Alaina. "Alaina repeat after me. I Alaina Hamilton I take thee, Luca Romano to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my troth."

"You may now kiss the bride."
He pulled Alaina close, pressing his lips on her, kissing me passionately.
Everyone Wolf whistled and I stood smiling. I was so happy they had found each other again and she had forgiven him for what had happened five years ago. If only my love life was as simple as theirs, they walked hand in hand down the aisle; we all made our way outside for photos, and confetti being thrown at them.
Today had been an all round perfect day or so I thought.
Everyone was enjoying the reception as the happy couple had their first dance. I smiled. "They look happy. I'm glad he found someone to love him like Alessia did."
I turned my face paled. What the hell was he doing here? He up and left after his sister Alessia had finally given up her fight to live and left me hestbroken, why was he here now?
"Alexander, why are you here?"
5 years later
Alaina
It's been ten long horrific years since the divorce and Elijah has done everything in his power to stop me from getting a job like he promised, but he never succeeded, yet he doesn't know that my one true friend from university who helped me get a job in his parents restaurant and his father got me a spot as Luca's CoCeo at Romero industries after my intern for four years with in his company.
Luca had helped me through all of my heartbreak and troubles he knows everything about Elijah Rivera he's company, his adultery and bigamy which was outlined in our divorce, though I had signed the agreement it seemed to have many flaws; one being he was able to still walk around like a single man on a mission though we were married and only for Business perposes what is good for one is good for another and it was a unfair compromise that I had to stay faithful to a man that had no intention on staying faithful to me.
Luca Romero had invested a lot of his time and money into Romero industries over the years, a sister company to his fathers company Costello incorporated.
That day I walked into his office. I just wanted to run back out there. But now I was married to Luca Rivera and I wasn't running anymore.
"Mrs. Romero, you're ten o'clock is here."
"Please send them in, Eleanor."
"Yes mam."
"Please call me Heather." That's right I changed my name.
Luca helped me to do so, so Elijah couldn't track me, well that was until now Luca had made me schedule this appointment with that bastard he was due to arrive any second he had a bug inserted in the office so he could hear our conversation before he intervened.
He was sneaky like that, he'd done it many times when he hadn't trusted the investor. And he was right to do so in many instances.
Elijah walked into the room though he owned it in his Armani suit, nothing new there fuking pompas prick. He strode across the room not even acknowledge my presence what a f*****g jerk who the f**k did he think he was anyway? God? I laughed internally when I think how I ended up here and this all comes from me being his P.A. And going to university to get my business degree, and meeting Luca. He had been my rock throughout and I wouldn't have it any other way. "So where is the CEO?"
I looked up grinning. My hair was cut short and saved on one side curving round the back of my head and the cut angled down my cheek bone. Luca had no problem with this and the amount of tattoos I had. Which I gained over the years each meant something to me and I didn't care if I showed them off.
Luca had taken me for my first tattoo sitting at university. It was a simple detailed infinity tattoo on my wrist then I gradually got more. That complemented it and he'd been at every sitting. He had been inked where they could find room. One being my name which I wasn't sure of but he said it was for him to remind him of our friendship as it had a twisted Celtic friendship band around it I had one too, they sat around our left wrists symbolising our never ending friendship.
I pointed to my plaque. "As you can read I am the Co CEO of Romero Industries and today you'll be dealing with me. Mr. Romero will be in shortly to sign the contract. I am Heather Romero. I'm pleased to meet your acquaintance Mr. Rivera."
He finally looked at me, taking my hand in his shaking it. "My apologies I usually don't deal with anyone but the CEO."
"That's quite alright Mr. Rivera. We all have our ways so shall we?"
"We shall."
We talked for a while, he kept looking intently at me making me feel nervous like he was sizing me up or something. "Are you okay Mr. Rivera? you seem to be staring at me an awful lot."
"Sorry, but you remind me of someone."
'Really."
"Yeah, but she was totally different than you."
I gulped. "Really, how?"
"She wouldn't have tattoos for one, she hated them and for another her hair was different; long and shiny natural where yours is rugged and coloured."
"Oh really, it seems you remember a lot about her."
"I do, she was my wife."
"Oh." I didn't want to ask what happened.
"Do you ever feel though you have failed Mrs. Romero?"
"No I don't. I have the perfect life, the perfect husband and the perfect job. What more could you ask for in life?"
"Someone to love you as you and take the imperfections that are your baggage and love you for yourself."
"I see."
He looked deep into my eyes I swallowed hard, s**t he'd know who I was from my eyes
shit s**t s**t.
"Alaina?"
"No, you must be mistaken."
"No I'm not, I've been searching for you everywhere. How is it that you are here in the biggest rival company in the city?"
"I don't know what you're talking about, my name's Heather not Alaina."
"You can't pull that one on me Alaina. I know you remember and I have no clue how you ended up here, or even got a job because no one will ever hire you."
"I already told you I'm not this Alaina, I'm Heather Romero."
"Cut the s**t Alaina. I know it's you."
"Whatever we're wasting time here, Luca will be here soon to sign the contract."
"I'm taking you home."
"I am home."
"You belong with me Alaina as my wife."
"We divorced over ten years ago, Elijah. I have a life now, a better life. Now sign." I said, clenching my jaw.
"I think I'll wait for Mr. Romero first."
"Suit yourself." I said, through gritted teeth.
The door flew open. "Honey I'm home." He cracked, I chuckled, this man.
"Argh Mr. Rivera I presume."
"And you must be Mr. Romero?"
"I am."
They shook hands. "So has the contract been signed?"
"Not yet Mr. Rivera insisted he wait for you."
"I see." He looked angrily at Elijah, thinking how could he be so arrogant of a woman taking the proposed contract on when it was part of her job to do so. He clicked his pen signing the contract. Passing it to Elijah. He nodded, taking it off him.
Elijah signed the contract placing it down. "It's good doing business with you Mr. Rivera.'"
"You to Mr. Romero."
He stretched his free hand over the desk as he stood behind me. They shook hands. "Well I'll be going now. I have another business meeting scheduled so we'll talk soon."
"We will."
He shook my hand. "It was nice meeting you Heather."
"You to Mr. Rivera."
He turned walking out the office what a f*****g jerk.
"This isn't over is it?"
"No it's not."
