We all know his background and how he grew up. He had turned out just like his father. Full of hatred for all women that’s why he used all of his whores for s*x. He’d used Alaina because she was weak and vulnerable. He knew exactly where to hit her and how to bring her down to her knees so she begged him to help her. We all know he had no love for her. Hell he didn't even know how to love. He was one of the biggest cold hearted bastards we knew with his women and business, but he wouldn’t take us down and he would never get Alaina back. She’d been receiving roses for a month now and we were in no doubt who had seen them. She walked into the office with another bunch of red roses. She dropped them in the bin huffing and saying some incoherent words. “I wish this would stop happening.” “Don’t let it get to you Alaina. He knows it’s getting to you so he’s doing it even more just to prove he can.” She sighed, slumping into her chair it was really getting to her. “I just want it to stop Luca I have no desire to see that man ever again. He made my life hell.” “There is one option that can stop this Alaina.” “And what is that exactly, Luca? We’re together and he’s still trying to get to me. Tell me exactly how we’re going to stop this?” I pulled myself up out of my chair. I guess it’s now or never. I strode over to her. I got the ring a few days ago. I hope now she says yes. I knelt in front of her, holding her hands in mine. “I know we’ve only just begun again, Laina. But you mean everything to me you always have. I promise I will make it better than it had ever been between us if you just give me. This one last chance to prove you’re the only girl for me.” I looked at her and her eyes held many questions within them. “What I’m trying to say. Alaina, will you marry me?” Her eyes prickled with tears unsure if she should reply or it would even stop Elijah Rivera from perusing her. I had wanted to marry her for such a long time and I went and screwed everything up this time I promised myself I wouldn’t. “Yes, yes, I'll marry you.” She smiled, her tears falling off her face. I slid on the diamond ring and I wiped her tears away with my thumb, before I pressed my lips on hers kissing her. She pulled me close smiling into the kiss, kissing me passionately. I slipped my tongue in kissing her with all I had. “So I take it you two are good?” My fathers voice boomed. I pulled away from Alaina, still smiling. “Better than good, perfect.” “About time.” “We have something to tell you dad.” “Go ahead son, any news is good news.” “I asked Alaina to marry me and she said yes.” His face lit up and the smile was spread across his face. “About time you two deserve each other’s love.” He shook my hand and huged Alaina. “I’m happy to finally call you my daughter-in-law.” She smiled. Hugging him. They got on really well. I'm glad she’d worked for him before coming here. He'd taught her a lot and I was truly grateful for the day he sent her here to me and I was I grateful for the love of the woman I’m going to marry and call her mine forever. Alaina I couldn’t belvie Luca had proposed, we’d been seeing each other for six months and it was like it was when we were in Uni. I just hoped he wouldn’t be the guy I gave up when I told him it was over and I walked away from our relationship. That was not the Luca I knew and loved. He reminded me of why I divorced Elijah. I just hoped I hadn’t made the mistake of saying yes to him. I was happy for once in my life everything was going the right way for once despite of all of the roses that joy appearing at the office with no name in them we both knew they were from Elijah trying to wear me down so I’d give in and return to him I don’t think so I had no intention of returning to that snake ever. I just hoped that by marrying Luca he’d get the hint and give up or Luca would kill him no questions asked. I knew everything there was to know about Luca. He'd never hidden anything from me and never kept who he was a secret and I looked up to him for that. I adored his father. He was like a second father to me. I knew if Elijah tried anything I could trust there’s two men to deal with him if and when the time came. Since the last time Jasper I couldn’t believe my ears. I knew Alaina was working alongside Luca what I don’t know is that they had reconciled six months ago and he had proposed to her and she’d said yes. I just hope it was the right decision for her after all the nights I’d spent with her crying in my shoulder about what a prick he’d become since she had decided to move universities and the names he’d called her named and accused her of cheating and the worst of it he had hit her, that want the Luca I knew. He was usually so laid back I knew how much he loved and adored Alaina, so what the hell had triggered this side of him? I had agreed to come to their wedding. She wanted my help as her wedding planner. I just hoped it went smoother than it had before. But we know each other’s flaws now. It was the wedding day and she was more nervous than she had been with Elijah but we both knew that was strictly business, but this was love, pure love for each other. “Are you sure about this Alaina? After everything in the past.” “I am. He’s changed Jasper and I hope you find it in your heart to be happy for us.” “I am happy for you darling . I’m just worried he'll mess up again.” “He won’t .” She sighed. “You don’t sound so sure.” “I love him, Jasper.” I nodded. I knew that feeling. I had felt it once before and had my heart broken into a million pieces. “Let’s go then he’ll think you’ve changed your mind.” She smiled nodding, I held my arm out. She slipped her arm through and we made our way out of the bridal suit down to the decorated wedding venue of the park side hotel. Ready for them to say their vows. I led her down the aisle to where Luca was standing. I had agreed to give her away; it was the least I could do. The priest began to talk. “We are gathered here today to witness the marriage of Luca Romano and Alaina Hamilton, anyone here who in lawful impediment is against this marriage please state now or forever hold your peace.” Silence filled the room. He looked at luca. “Luca Romano, please repeat these words after me.I Luca Romano, take thee, Alaina Hamilton, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my troth.” “I Luca Romano, take thee, Alaina Hamilton, to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my troth.” Here, the wedding ring is placed on the finger: “With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.” “With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.” Luca copied slipping the ring into her finger The vicar then turned to Alaina. “Alaina repeat after me. I Alaina Hamilton I take thee, Luca Romano to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my troth.” 'I Alaina Hamilton I take thee, Luca Romano to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death us do part, according to God's holy ordinance; and thereto I plight thee my troth.” “With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.” “With this ring I thee wed, with my body I thee worship, and with all my worldly goods I thee endow: in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Amen.” She repeated pushing the ring onto his finger “You may now kiss the bride.” He pulled Alaina close, pressing his lips on her, kissing me passionately. Everyone Wolf whistled and I stood smiling. I was so happy they had found each other again and she had forgiven him for what had happened five years ago. If only my love life was as simple as theirs, they walked hand in hand down the aisle; we all made our way outside for photos, and confetti being thrown at them. Today had been an all round perfect day or so I thought. Everyone was enjoying the reception as the happy couple had their first dance. I smiled. “They look happy. I’m glad he found someone to love him like Alessia did.” I turned my face paled. What the hell was he doing here? He up and left after his sister Alessia had finally given up her fight to live and left me hestbroken, why was he here now? “Alexander, why are you here?”
