Chapter 2: Wedding confirmed!!!!

Preeti PoV~

I called Arjun to bring his parents so that I can tell my decision about this marriage. I said him to visit my house evening. I agreed.

I come back from NGO and freshened up. I wore a red gown, wear a makeup and put on some red lipstick. After a while, I heard some noises from downstairs and I knew Arjun and his parents arrived.

I went down to see the shocking faces of all these people. As well as, Arjun was indifferent. Anu aunty came and hugged me. "Wow dear, You look gorgeous ", she exclaimed. My parents are smiling. Arjun is smirking at me.

I sat between Daksh uncle and Anu aunty. All are looking at me because I was the one who gathered them all here.

" What is it dear? What you want to talk about?", Daksh uncle asked by patting my head. "Yes!! What is it dear? Arjun said , You want to say something to all of us?", Anu aunty added. All can I see the question marked face of all the people sitting here.

" That is ....That is ... I don't want this marriage next month", I said while looking down. "Why? What happened? ", All of them are shocked and stood up. While Arjun was happy and he is smiling. Genuine smile.

" Why dear? You like Arjun? Don't you?", Daksh uncle said while glaring at Arjun.

"Preeti dear, You should discuss with us, when you are taking this important decision of your life?", my dad raised his voice. " How dare you to insult Daksh like that?", he is fuming with anger.

"Preeti dear, Let's sort it out. Let's talk", Daksh uncle stopped my dad and he said in a convincing tone.

" There is no need to discuss uncle. I don't want to marriage next month...", Arjun was smiling looking at me. "...Instead...Arjun and I will marry next week..", Everyone gasped with shock. Arjun was shocked and was not able to talk anything.

" Wow!! What a news!!", everyone were chirping happily. "You should have told this first. Why are you making this kind of suspense story", My dad hugged me and pulled my ear.

" Dad!! Dad!! It's Arjun plan not me..This is planned by him", I smiled shyly. Arjun raised his brow and looking at me with awe.

"Oh!!Some one said he need atleast one month to adjust himself. Now he is desperate to get married so he pulled strings by the help of his wife", Daksh uncle pulled his ear and he said, " Dad!! dad!! It hurts", he faked the pain.

"Yes uncle... Please leave his ear", I said shyly. " Oh!! look at them. They started supporting each other", he said and smiled.

"I am happy for you both ", Daksh uncle said and he engulfed Arjun and me in a hug.

" Yes dad!! It's my plan ", he said in a scary voice and I know going to face his wrath.

We both took blessings from our parents. They are already discussing about marriage preparations, wedding cards etc. Arjun and I are sutting opposite to each other. He is glaring at me while I am drinking my juice. By seeing him like this , I am really scared.

But what should I do? Get out for now? I think it is the best solution.

" Mom , I will bring juice from kitchen ", I said to my mom and left to kitchen..

Just miss... Calm down Calm down ...I said to myself. I need to calm my senses.

I went near the refrigerator and get a juice bottle. I turned around to see Arjun walking dangerously towards me.

" What do you think you are doing?", he said with a cold and deep voice. He caged me between fridge and him.

I can't be scared. I have to be confident. Attack is the best form of defense.

"What do you think am I doing? ", I said while resting my hands on his chest.

" Don't act dumb. Today, morning you said you don't want to marry me. Are you playing with me now?", he said while grabbing my chin dangerously.

"Well! I think I want to enjoy the Mrs.Oberoi status now!! Don't worry, I will sign the contract ", I said indifferently.

" Now leave me!! It hurts", I said while struggling to remove his hand instead his grip got tighter. "You don't want to marry me?Why you changed your decision?Why?", he said while looking at me with disgust.

" I thought you are not like everyone but you are the same", he said while looking at me.

"What is your problem?huh? You are the one who put contract in front of me to agree? Now I have agreed you got problem with that to?", I asked by grabbing his collar.

" What is your problem exactly? ", I said while looking at his eyes. I can see that he was startled for a second.

There is pain his eyes but it has changed to a cold eyes. " I don't know what you are up to?", I said.."Leave me now", I said indifferently. He grabbed my hand and again he caged me between fridge and him. "You want to be my wife? ", he whispered in my ears.

I was shocked by his sudden question. I can't give up now.

" Yes, I want to be your wife", I said with a determination.

"Are you sure?", he said while stroking my cheeks. My cheeks flared up. I feel hot and my throat dried due to our proximity. I don't care now. We will see what will happen.

" Yes, I am sure",I said while looking down. "Don't regret it!!", he said huskily before I could comprehend his next step.

He started kissing me. " You want to be my wife right? Fulfill your duty now!!", he said and smooched my lips. I used my hands to move him away but he pulled my waist close to his body. I can't able to move him. I used my full energy and finally able to get away from him.

"What do you think you are doing? Don't you have shame?", I breathed heavily. " Why ? You want to be my wife right? What happened ?", he said and again staryed to kiss me. I slapped him.

"Arjun, Come to your senses please!!", I said while catching my breath. " Why? Are you scared now? So reject this marriage now?", he said while looking at me.

So he is doing this to stop this marriage ...

"I will not reject this marriage ", I said . " Don't regret it then!!", he said and start kissing me. He bit my lips. It's painful. Blood started to come from my lips when I put my hands on my lips. My eyes went wide looking at blood. He started sucking my blood. I tried to move him away but he didn't move instead he made his grip tighter. Tears are rolling down from my eyes due to pain and my hands are rested on his chest. I heard someone was walking towards the kitchen.

"Arjun, atleast stop now!! Someone is coming!!", I said but he started sucking my ear and went down to my neck. He is sucking and biting my skin. He bite my collarbone. It's really painful. Tears are rolling down. He doesn't care about that and is torturing me. I can't able to stop him. Anu aunty and my mom came to the kitchen and stood there. They cleared their throat to get attention from us. I started moving him away from him.

" Arjun, Anu aunty and my mom are here. Leave me", I said while moving away from him and turned around. "Mom , aunty, It's just....It's just that I want... I want some water", he said as if he caught red handed.

" Oh!! you want water", they both said teasingly while looking at us. "Did you drink water then?", Anu aunty asked him. "Ah..water...I will drink now", he said meanwhile I adjusted my makeup thank god I bought my clutch with me it consists of foundation and lipstick. I started applying foundation around my lips and put on some lipstick.

I thanked lord that they came at correct time.

" Mom and aunty we are about to come now", I said while looking down.

"No!! no...continue what you both are doing . We will leave", they said and I was embarrassed to see them.

" Yes mom..I need to sometime alone", he said to them and winked at me.

They both broke into laughter and left me alone with him in the kitchen.

Don't go ...Don't go...I gathered sone courage and stood infront of him.

"Mr.Oberoi, I must say you are a fine actor. You fooled both of them so easily. How dare you to touch me without my consent. I will not allow anyone to insult my self respect", I said while glaring at him.

" You know...You asked for it!! Be a good girl, cancel this wedding and stop this stupid joke. I bet you can't go too far", he said with a sarcastic smile.

I raised my hand to slap him. He grabbed my hand and said, "Don't you dare!! I'll slide it once not twice ", he said dangerously.

My hands are trembling with fear. The Arjun who used to laugh is nowhere to be seen.

" I will cancel this wedding if you answer my question? ", I said to him.

" What is your question?", he asked .

"Why you changed so much? Before six months all we can see is a Arjun with a smiling face but what happened to you? What is your problem?", I asked while placing my hand on his shoulder.

" Who are you to ask this question to me? I have never changed. This is me!! ", he said while squeezing my hands.

" Ah? ", I yelped. " This is not you. Well, I have given a last chance you have wasted it!! Tomorrow is mehendi ceremony get ready for it!!", I said with a attitude and left him alone in the kitchen.

Arjun's PoV~

I was really angry when my dad is pressuring me to marry someone.

"This is my last warning Arjun . Marry someone you like", he yelled.

" I have said many times that I will not marry anyone. I am not ready to bare anyother responsibility on my head", I said and rush out from the house. I was really very angry.

When I was moving out of the house, I saw a familiar face walking inside the house. I didn't mind much and went off but I heard a sound from inside and decided to stop.

After few minutes, A maid came to me and said my father had an anxiety attack. My heart slipped for a second. A ran inside to see the girl giving an inhaler to my dad.

She helped me carry my dad to hospital. My hands are trembling with fear. I don't know what to do.

"Arjun, Everything will be alright. Come on please be fast", I started regain my confidence and drove the car as soon as possible.

We called the doctor and they went to ICU. I was really hating myself.

I shouldn't have said all those things. It happened because of me..... It happened because of me. I blamed myself.

I saw her from the corner of my eye, where she started calling somebody. Soon John and Pragya aunty came to the hospital and that's when I realize it's their daughter Preeti.

My mom also arrived in no time.I went to pharmacy to get some medicines.

Then they asked me to go to dad. I know what he will say me. I sighed in relief because he is okay. I am fine with this.

I went inside and sat beside my dad. " Dad, please you can talk to me later. Get well soon. Take these medicines", I kept these medicines on the table and was about to leave.

"No!! I will not take any medicines until you agree for wedding", he said with a stubborn look.

" Dad, please don't be childish. You know health is important. Don't play with your health", I said as calm as possible.

"As if you care about me. Sucha insolent one you are", he sneered at me.

" Dad!! Even I agree for wedding, where we will get a bride? ", I said in a irritated tone.

" I have chosen a bride for you. She is really a nice person ", he said .

This man , he set a trap for me.

" Who is this good girl?", I asked with a sarcastic smile.

"Preeti, John uncle's daughter...", he said with a proud smile.

" Dad!! What are you doing? I don't know her at all..", I screamed .

"Relationship is about getting to know each other dear. I am sure you two make a good match", he said.

" Dad!! did she agree for the marriage? I bet you blackmailed her?", I said with a suspicious tone.

"I didn't force her. She agreed by her own will. She agreed for this marriage", He said while smirking at me.

" But I don't know her at all. I don't want to marry", I said with a most stubborn look.

"I will not take any food or medicine then. Anyway you don't care about me", he said.

" Dad!! please don't do anything stupid. please..", I said.

"Agree for this wedding then", he said.

"Okay...I have to give in for this man now. I need one month tine to adjust ", I said and slammed the door with a great force. When I went out , I saw a timid Preeti who looked really scared by seeing me. I grabbed her to quiet place.

" What are you doing? You could have rejected this marriage! ", I literally yelled at her. She is silent . Her silence made me anger more.

" Open your damn mouth", I yelled at her.

"How can I do that ? When uncle is in this situation ", she said and I saw tears following down her eyes.

He regretted. But she has a chance to reject the wedding proposal. As I saw both my mom and Pragya aunty are coming. I stopped yelling at her.

" Quickly wipe your tears", I said while giving my handy to her. She took it and quickly wiped her tears.

"Well, wait till you wedding", theu both teased us. She looked down while I was glaring at her and left.

I thought that, I can stop this wedding when Preeti disagrees to marry with me. It is the safest and easiest way to stop this marraige. I asked my secretary to do a background check on her. He gave her file to me. I said to leave . He left and opened the file.

I slowly read the contents of this file, She is unemployed now. No love affairs, No boy friends, best friend is Alia. Always goes to her friend's office. Goes to an NGO. Previous job: Fired due to her stubbornness and self respect.

Oh!! She does care about self respect. I will insult her and she will reject this wedding. It's easy than I thought.

After that I saw her phone number in the file and called her to be ready in the bus stop by 9am tomorrow .

Morning, I reached the bus stop to see her eating the bread as if she has not eaten for many days. Seeing her clumsiness, I laughed after many days but quickly return to my cold look. I asked her sit beside me. I took her to the Florenza cafe which is my favourite cafe. The staff member greeted us and lead towards the private VIP room. We both sat and I took at menu.

I determined that, today I have to make her reject this marriage. I must be successful in my plan.

I was in a deep thought. " If you have nothing to say, I will leave", she said and I come out from my thought.

"Wait!! I have to tell you something ", I said and handed a contract to her.

I know, after reading this contract she will definitely not agree to this marriage. Guess what, I was correct. I purposely agitated her so that she will not think about it again. She thrown a glass of water on me. I was really surprised no speechless when she did that. She cried and left.

I know Preeti, I am being a jerk to you now but believe me you are a nice girl. You will find your man soon. I said to myself.

Yes!! My plan is successful. I was on cloudnine.

Around evening, she called me and said to take her parents to her so that she could tell her decision of our marriage to everyone.

I was happy that , My lroblemis solved and went with my parents to her house. She came downstairs after a while, I must say she is beautiful in that red gown. Surprisingly,I caught myself gazing at her. I looked way. She greeted everyone and sat between my mom and dad. I was very happy because I know what is going to happen now?

"There is no need to discuss uncle. I don't want to marriage next month...", I was smiling looking at her. "...Instead...Arjun and I will marry next week..",I gasped hearing her words. Everyone was surprised by her words.

I really don't know, what is happening now? What is happening? Why the hell did she change her mind? My mind was bombarding with my questions. I don't know any answer yet. I have to get answer from her .

After a while, I saw her going towards the kitchen. I followed her slowly. I asked her reason behind this but she instead confronted me.

Touching her without her consent is not in my plan. I was pressured by the situation so I reluctantly did what I regret the most. I kissed her forcibly so that she can deny the marriage but she is stubborn. I don't know where she gets that courage.

Meanwhile, our moms came and teased us. She is the one who asked me daringly, Why I have changed? I bet she know me before?How can she ask me?How dare she? Does she know me? How? When? My mind was filled with these questions. I stood there looking at her.

I thought, I will always be the upperhand, but instead she said , " Tomorrow is mehendi ceremony, I have to be ready for it!!", I was really surprised by her confidence and went off leaving me alone.
