"Everyone, dinner's ready," Katherine called out to us from downstairs.
"We're coming baby!" Dad shouted back in response, "All alright, let's go have dinner," he said with a smile as he stood up from the bed.

"Knock! knock! knock!" someone knocked on my door. "Come in," I responded as I organized my stuff. "Oh dad," I said as I glanced at the door, "is there any problem?" I asked.
"No baby, come here, come sit down," he said in a caring manner as he gestured towards the bed. I walked over and we both sat down. He stared at me with compassionate eyes.
