Dear Diary,
Today marks a new chapter in my life as I start middle school, and boy, am I feeling a rollercoaster of emotions! I'm a mix of excitement and nervousness all bundled up together. It's like a giant wave of change crashing into my world.
Middle school is so different from elementary school. The lockers, multiple classrooms, and all these new faces - it's a bit overwhelming. But at the same time, I can't help feeling thrilled about this new adventure. I hope I'll make lots of friends and learn cool stuff.
Speaking of friends, Sarah and I ended up in different classes this year, which is a bummer. But we're making it work! We still hang out during lunch and after school. Our friendship is unbreakable, even if we're in different classes.
My absolute favorite part of middle school so far is art class with Miss Williams. She's the most creative and inspiring teacher ever! I get so lost in my artwork, and time just flies by. I've even made some new friends in art class - Emma and Jake. Emma loves painting, just like me, and Jake is a really funny guy. It's nice to have them around.
But speaking of lunch, Diary, I have to tell you - Thursdays are the worst. They serve this weird broccoli casserole that tastes like cardboard. I can't wait for Pizza Fridays; those are the best!
Oh, and math - I have to admit, I don't like it as much as I thought I would. It's not that I'm bad at it; it's just not as exciting as art or hanging out with friends. But hey, maybe it'll grow on me.
Despite the ups and downs of middle school, everything is still so fun and exciting. Each day is like a new adventure waiting to happen. I can't wait to see where this journey takes me, Diary.
Until next time,
Lily
