Chapter 38 - Doctor Joe Miranda

1002 Words
Dr. Joe kept on looking at Aditya with his corner of his eyes while checking Krisandra's wound. "Do you feel any pain surrounding here and here?" Dr. Joe asked Krisandra and she shook her head. "She is perfectly fine, the person knows his job very well, he sliced the skin only, the scar will not be deep. Just make sure she is not in touch with water. I will give you a cream to heal the scar as well." Dr. Joe removed her bandage and did a new dressing on her wound, which is recovering very fast. "She can be discharged tomorrow." Aditya was sitting beside her. He wrapped his hand around her waist while watching him doing the dressing of her wound. "Yes, by tomorrow her wound will start to close and, of course, she shouldn't move her hand at all, so she needs to wear the sling. She needs to come for a follow-up check-up in another 2 days." "Since there is no pain, she doesn't need a pain killer either," he smiled at her, and she returned happily. Krisandra was scanning Dr. Joe's face in detail, she felt his face was very familiar. He is the same tall as Aditya, his eyes almost like Aditya's, his face slightly like Aditya's, only he is too fair where else Aditya is tan color. Why so much similarity between both of them? Don't they look like brothers or father and son if they stand side by side? Maybe they are relatives of Dr. Joe knew Aditya's mother very well. Krisandra started to ask questions in her mind. "Anything else, Mr. Aditya?" "No, thank you." Dr. Joe nodded his head, he walked towards the door to leave the room, but stopped halfway. "Take care of your mother, she is a nice person." Dr. Joe left immediately after closing the door. "Aditya, is he your relative?" "I have no idea and I don't know any of my relatives either. Nice woman?? How nice can she be?? Aditya was pissed off! "Aditya, you haven't introduced your mother to me and the kids yet." "Hmmm! She doesn't even care for me, will she care for you and the kids?" his tone was very low. "Maybe she will care for us, and for you too, after seeing your kids. Who knows!" "Really? I am unlucky Krisandra. I have got a mother who doesn't care for her son." "There must be a reason why she is behaving like that. Have you checked it out?" "Krisandra, she only texts me for the money and that is the only reason she is connecting to me." Aditya's voice was very sad and down. She hugged him with one hand. "I tried to talk to her before I left and came back after my dad passed away but she refused to talk about anything. I really don't have any idea why she hates me so much. Am I not her own son?" Aditya's eyes were reddening and tears were ready to stream on his cheeks. He tried his best to control them but he couldn't do it in front of his beloved woman. He was a strong and powerful man, but now he had become a weak man in front of her. What will she think about me? Am I so weak? "It's okay, we will check it out later, don't worry." "Krisandra, why am I so weak? I am crying in front of you, I feel shame!" "Every human will have his weak part, and who told you that you should'n't cry in front of me?" She tried to console him. "Aditya, I am your woman, wife, your children's mother, and you do not need to feel shame for crying in front of me." "I love you for who you are, Aditya. You do not need to act to be strong in front of me. I know how strong you are!" She hugged him. Patted him with one hand. Her chest was wet with his tears. Even how strong and powerful a man is, he can be weak and breakdown when a woman hurts him. Be it his mother, lover, wife or daughter! "I understand what you feel, I have been through this too. I started to let it go after our kids arrived. I don't want to give them a negative family or surroundings, so I decided to change for good. You should do the same but at the same time you need to solve this problem." She consoled him in a very soft voice and lovingly. He felt as though Krisandra was showering him with her warm love. She hugged him and held him onto her chest, which was soft and calm. Her heartbeats were steady and calm, which gave peaceful feelings to Aditya. "Yes true, I cannot be like this. I will check with Allen on this matter. I should have dealt with it before and I think I have been ignoring it for a very long time." "Yes Aditya, uncle Allen is the right person for you to start with, he might have all the answers." He lay beside her while wrapping her stomach and hugged her by the side. She was stroking his hair very slowly and calmly, which made him doze off. "How dare you come into my room, get out now!" Aditya's mother shouted at him when he went into her room to show his final exam result. There was someone else in her room. He saw a man's clothing hanging near her bed and flowing noise from the bathroom. That was the last he saw her and he left overseas the very next day. It was also the same day he saw Damayanti with another man too! He was so broken into pieces on that day. Both ladies were very important to him in his life, but both of them never wanted him. He had never been important to them. They hurt him the most and that was the last he saw them.
