Chapter 8 - The kiss

They finished the food without any further talking and once done, both kids cleaned up the place where they had breakfast. Aditya was speechless to see what they were doing and, at the same time, he felt a pain in his heart when seeing his kids have to live like that. It was a medium-sized apartment and just nice for the three of them. There wasn’t any luxury in the apartment other than basic furniture except a television. Aditya sat on the sofa near the kids while they were coloring and playing games. They didn’t ask him to join them or didn’t show any affection towards him. They were communicating among them only, not even with Krissy. Aditya was confused about their behavior. “Can we talk?” Aditya asked Krissy. After a few minutes, she nodded and walked towards the balcony, which had a glass door. “How do they recognize me?” that was the first question Aditya asked. He never thought it would be this easy and the opposite of everything that he thought. “Hummm! I show your picture the moment they ask who their father is.” “You are not angry with me?” “I am, but what has that to do with my kids?" “I am sorry. I know I have made a big mistake and I regret it from that day, believe me.” She didn’t want to complicate the situation or her emotions and simply nodded her head. That matter passed away six years ago and now she has two beautiful kids because of him. “So what is your plan now?” He asked her. “What plan?” “Since I am here and I am a part of their life too.” “So?” “Can we all live together? You can come back with me, I… I will marry you.” “Live together? Marry you?” “That night you drugged me or else I would have killed you.” She told him in anger and he could see the tears were welling up at the corners of her eyes, her lips were trembling. Those rosy full lips were tempting him. He moved one step in front of her. Her lips were moving but he couldn’t hear anything. He held her chin, leaned a little and kissed her deeply. In the world of a man... All that he sees that of a lady... Is but the hand that can hold forever... With the hand... in hand... Life is so true and to be With hand in hand... the world is so wonderful... to see With a passion so much of emotion... Thus comes the love and devotion When the chance does be a taken... The dreams... become real... once you are forsaken Just is the heart of happiness and glee... Unto a land... from sea to the shining sea... The hills... and meadows… to vast and wondrous... Together... as one… thunderous! The night is alive... the day a bliss... It all started... but with a kiss! He had no idea how long he had kissed her but when he moved away she was in her pinky rose color. Oh! Yes, she changes color when she blushes. “You taste the same” he smiled when his words made her blush more. She couldn't say a word. She was stuck with her emotions. They were in awkward silence for a while until Krissy wanted to leave. "Let go of me" she was pulling off her hand. "Krisandra, don't change me back to the old Aditya Varman." He whispered in her ears while biting her ear lobes. "Are you threatening me?" she shouted back at him. "I don't need to but you are making me. Why do you refuse to come with me?" "It's my wish to follow you or not!" she was pissed off at his attitude. "Are you in love with that guy?" He felt someone was squeezing his heart when he asked her that question. She was confused for a while and trying to recall which guy Aditya was talking about. "The one I saw in the mall yesterday with kids, hummm he is very close with the kids." His voice was very cold and flat. "Of course, he will be close to them. He is the doctor who gave birth to them and their doctor too." Her explanation made him happy for a while, but she still didn't answer his question. "So are you in love with him?" "Do I have to tell you with whom I am in love? Who gave you the right to ask?" "I am the father of the kids so I have all the rights to know about the mother of my kids too." Yes, I am in love with a man, but not the one you saw." "Then who is he?" "It is none of your business, I have answered your question." her voice was in an angry tone and she continued. "I will give you two weeks for you to spend time with the kids and I will not be around. They are healthy kids and they know what they should do and not." "You won't be with us? How can I handle them alone?" "If you can't handle them, don't call yourself their father!" she snapped in his face.
