Chapter 24 - Hospital appointment

"Aditya, please give me some time, everything is happening so fast, so I am not sure why I am here with you in the first place." "Don't say it like that, we have two kids to take care of and to bring up together. I know you are angry with me, but you are a very good mother. I will try to be a good father and husband too." The room was in awkward silence. "I will not force you, but please consider it, at least for the kids sake." If it were not for the kids, I wouldn't be here and if I were selfish I wouldn't even carry them in my stomach. "Sleep first, we have to go to the hospital tomorrow morning." She told him. "Hmmm, sure, can you sleep on my chest?" She didn't say anything but moved and slept on his chest peacefully. Sharply at 9.00 morning both of them were in the hospital for a check-up. The kids were at home under Allen's care. Aditya went through all the scanning procedures again and then consulted both specialists. They removed the tools which were fixed in between his fingers and the bandages. Krisandra was shocked to see the wounds for the first time. It was as though the fingers were sliced with a sharp knife. Some were short and on the surface, while some were long and deep. The wounds were still bleeding and she could see Aditya was holding the pain while the doctor was cleaning it. "Are you okay?" she asked him in a very sweet voice while wrapping back his shoulders with her hands. She just couldn't see him in the pain. He felt a very nice, comfortable and soothing feeling when he heard her voice and felt her touch. "It's very painful," he told her to gain her sympathy. She leaned on his body to comfort him. "Mr. and Mrs. Aditya, the wound is healing well but still has a long way to go for the deep cut wounds. At least another 2 to 3 weeks you still need to wear until the wounds recover." "Doctor, I can't even hug my kids and wife. Could you do something without the tools so at least I can hug them." "No, Mr. Aditya not at least another week. It will make your wounds worse if you move a lot." "It's okay doctor, we will wait until he recovers completely," Krisandra interrupted. "Good, Mrs. Adi, I am going to remove the bandage for now and I am giving you an improved ointment which also reduces the scar, it will help to heal faster too. You can apply every time it dries." She nodded her head. "The next check-up will be next week. We see how fast you are healing, alright?" "Sure doctor," both left. "I will arrange for someone to take care of me, it will be troublesome for you," he told her, hoping she would oppose it. "Hmmm, it's a good idea too." She agreed immediately. He was silent and she looked at him through the corner of her eyes. He was not happy. "But I think I can handle it unless you feel shy!" She purposely provoked him. "I am not shy with you at all, it will be my pleasure to show off with you," he whispered in her ears and smiled evilly at her. "Nonsense," she ignored him while blushing. It was very silent inside the car. He wanted to hold her but he couldn't. He used his fingertips and touched her palm. She gazed into his eyes and she saw a different Aditya. There are no cold eyes but replaced with eyes full of sadness. "What happened?" "I wanted to touch and hold your hands but I couldn't," he told her in a very low tone. "It's okay you can hold them when you recover," she told him without realizing what she said and she bit her lower lips when she realized it. "I mean..." she didn't know how to disguise it, she couldn't find a reason. He leaned towards her and kissed her lightly while rubbing his lips on hers. He smiled at her seductively. He was so handsome, with his sharp chin and almond eyes. He still looks the same as six years ago except this time he is loving and becomes skinnier. She blushed and looked away. Aditya was super happy when he heard what Krisandra said and he knew he had to work a little hard to make her fall in love with him. She had all the reasons to be angry with him for what he did to her. He regretted it and had been suffering since that night. No woman has shaken his heart like Krisandra did. "Daddy, do you still hurt your hands?" Adish asked when he saw his mother helping his father to get out of the car. "Yes son, the doctor said he will check again next week." Adish checked the tools fixed in his father's fingers and showed a disappointed face. "What happened?" Krisandra asked. Yesterday, Krisha was showing tantrums and today Adish? "I want daddy to carry me like this," he showed a picture which had an elderly man carrying a small boy on a piggyback. "Come here," she carried him and placed him on her lap, and signaled Aditya to sit beside her. Taking the opportunity, Aditya immediately sat beside her very closely. "See here," Krisandra showed Adish Aditya's hand. "You don't pity daddy?" she asked him. Adish nodded. "I pity daddy but I want him to carry me." Suddenly Adish started to sob and placed his face on Krisandra's neck crook. Krisha was watching them, Aditya and Krisandra were surprised too. "Adish! Adish! Look at mummy," he pushed her hands away. "Okay, I will help daddy to carry you, only once, okay?" He looked at his mummy's face immediately. He agreed by nodding his head. Krisandra carried Adish and put Adithya's back for a while. She asked Aditya just to sit still on the sofa. "Now Adish can hug daddy," he hugged him. Krisandra was holding him from behind and controlling Adish's weight. "Are you happy Adish," Aditya asked him and he nodded. He let go of his daddy slowly, went to Krisandra, and jumped down immediately. Both Aditya and Krisandra were looking at each other. What is wrong with my kids? They had never behaved like that before!!
