Chapter 5 - Twins

Since she had a lot of money, she bought an apartment in cash near Kayla’s place and stayed there with a local elderly woman in her mid-fifties whose name was Boomaa. Mark arranged for her to stay together with Krissy to take care of her and her pregnancy needs.

“Krisandra, did you realize your tummy is quite big? Normally, for a small-sized woman like yours, the baby bump can only be seen after 4 or 5 months. When is your next check-up?” Kayla asked her.

“Next week is 2 months complete; yes I also feel the same, thinking of asking the doctor too.”

“Since there is a week-only difference, why don’t we go today? I am curious, plus I have a doubt too.”

“What doubt do you have, Kay, you don’t scare me, okay?”

“Nothing to be scared of, but how would you feel if you were caring for twins?” Kayla's eyes widened when she asked.

“I will be a cooooool mommy but I am still worried about their documentation only!”

“Don’t worry, here is a non-development area. You can easily put that bastaxx’s name as father’s name without his knowledge and Mark has arranged everything. Relax okay!”

“Okay,” she smiled.

“Let’s go then. Boo want to follow us to the clinic?” Kayla asked her.

“No, I need to prepare her meal, you all go ahead and must not eat outside, okay.”

“Yes Boo,” both said in unison and went to the clinic.

“Why are you here today, Krisandra? Any pain?” Dr. Jay asked her.

"No doctor, I am fine."

Dr. Jay is in his mid-30s, a tall, dark, slim, and handsome man. His wife passed away after they got married for a year in a car accident. To move on in his life, he left everything behind and transferred to work in this rural area.

"Your check-update is next week, right?

“She misses you, doctor,” Kayla teased both of them.

“No doctor, she is the one who missed you, she dragged me here purposely to see you.”

“Okay, both of you could miss me later, let's check the baby first.” All 3 of them went to the scanning room to scan the fetus in the womb.

“Hmmm, interesting!” he said the word subconsciously.

“What’s so interesting in my stomach doctor,” Krish asked him while blinking her eyes innocently.

“Let me double confirm please.” He scanned again.

“Doctor, it looks like twins?” Kayla was staring at the monitor while her mouth was wide in shock.

Kayla was asking this question too, since Krish’s tummy was growing bigger and much faster compared to a normal pregnancy.

“Yes, Krisandra, you are carrying twins.” Dr. Jay informed in a very soft manner.

“What?? Twins?? Oh my god! Oh my god! I am scared now.” Krish started to panic and she accidentally held Dr. Jay’s both hands.

“Doctor, please save me, I am scared.”

“Krish, you are not going to deliver now, you still have seven months to go.” Dr. Jay explained to her.

“She is taking advantage of you, Dr. Jay. See she likes to hold your hand.” Krish then only realized and let go of his hand immediately while blushing.

“Someone is blushing” Kayla was teasing her. Dr. Jay shook off his head and went to his office while Kayla helped Krish to stand.

“There is nothing much difference between baby and babies. You just make sure you follow your normal routine, it’s just your tummy will grow bigger faster because of 2 babies. Others are all normal as usual, so when is your husband going to come?” Both Kayla and Krissy jammed when he asked that question.

“Why, anything wrong?” Dr. Jay asked them since their facial reaction was not good.

“No, nothing, the problem is he is overseas and we have no idea when he can come back. That’s why she is a bit upset.”

“Alright, sometimes situations are like that; don’t be upset because your emotions will have an impact on your babies.” She nodded her head.

“Take proper rest, eat properly on time, and don’t take too much sugary food. You must be healthy when delivering the babies, okay?” Krisandra keeps on nodding to him.

“Okay, you are good to go and the next check will be a month from this date and if you have any uncomfortable pain, please come immediately, okay?”

“Sure, doctor and thank you.” He nodded his head. Krissy went out to pay her while Kayla remained in the doctor’s room.

“Doctor Jay, are you free this weekend? We are doing a small get to get, mostly people from our hometowns will be joining.”

“Date, time, and what to bring?”

“Saturday, lunch, and you can bring fruit, especially coconut water. Krissy loves it.”

“Okay done.”

“See you then, doctor.” Oh god! Now I must arrange the gathering on Saturday. Where to find these people?

Straight away they went back home for lunch.

“Saturday Dr. Jay will be coming to my place.” Kayla slowly informed Krisandra.

“Why is he coming?”

“I invited”

“For?”

“A small gathering among our friends” Kayla whispered.

“Among our friends? Who are our friends?” Krissy asked in doubt.

“That is the problem now; we don’t have many friends from our hometown.” Kayla regretted why she had called him.

“What is your actual intention, Kay?”

“Hmmm, no doubt at all, I am trying to match make you with him.”

“Are you crazy, can you see this or not?” Krissy was showing her tummy.

“What’s wrong with that? You didn’t marry him happily and you deserve to be happy. Or are you still thinking of him?” Kayla asked Krissy.

“Kay, do you remember why I agreed to keep the baby in the first place?”

“Yes! Yes! I know, but don’t you think you have to give yourself another chance?”

“There is nothing wrong with myself in my life, there is no good man, not everyone will be like your father and Mark, okay.”

“How about Dr. Jay,” Kayla asked her

“What’s with him?”

“Isn’t he a good guy?”

“He is a doctor, that’s all,” Krissy told her nonchalantly.

“Maybe it is time for you to forgive your father.” Kayla softened her tone.

“Forgive him? How too? Even with his half-stroked body, he is still kicking and beating my mother, who cared for him until now. Whenever I see the mark on her body, I feel so much hatred towards him.” Krisandra was very angry.

“Okay, okay calm down, breath in breath out,” Krissy was laughing when she saw Kayla was acting like a breathing therapist.

“You are nonsense”. Krissy threw a small cushion at her.

“Let me ask you and answer me honestly, okay?” Krissy nodded.

“If Aditya Varman wants to take you as your wife will you accept?” Kayla never even blinked her eyes and was observing all the reactions and emotions on Krissy’s face.

“No, I will not,” Krissy replied without any emotion.

“Why should I?” Krissy asked Kayla.

“Let's say he regrets and wants to take care of you and the kids? Furthermore, he is the kid's father.”

“Kay, I can take care of myself and I don't need a man to do that for me or my kids.”

“Then for what do you need a man?”

“To love me” Krisandra spontaneously says it and bites her lower lips.

“There, someone’s hidden agenda is out now.”

“So you do want a man’s love but you are hiding it in you because you think all men will be like your father? How about JB, who took care of you for 5 years like his little sister? How about Mark, who cares for you like his own sister? My dad, who also sees you as his daughter? You need to open your heart and let the man in to feel the love.” Kayla purposely poked Krissy's chest.

“Kay I am sleepy.” She yawned while Kay was blabbering.

“Youuuuuu! Fine, come, I will accompany you.”

Aditya sends the bouquet to her house and office but both were returned to him because nobody with such a name is staying or working there anymore.

“JB the girl who fainted at the signing...” Aditya called JB to find out.

“Oh yes, Krisandra, anything Mr.Adi?” JB asked him immediately.

“I need to see her. Could you ask her to come to my office?”

“Mr.Adi, her last day was on our signing documentation day. Is there anything Mr. Aditya that I can help with?”

“No,” he hung up in anger. JB has been trying to call Krisandra since she left but couldn’t. She changed her phone number and deactivated her personal email. He can only contact her parents, but it will not be nice furthermore he has to respect her decision not to contact any of us.

Aditya lit up a cigar while standing near his window. The clouds are moving calmly but the calmness in him is missing. He ordered David to investigate her, which surprised him.

“Mr.Adi, you don’t use the same woman once you throw them, correct?”

“Yes, but when did I throw her?” Aditya questioned him.

“You gave her the settlement the same night.” Aditya was angry when David mentioned that night.

“Not cleared yet and will not clear! Do I need to repeat David? I want all her details in twenty-four hours' time.” Aditya told him in a very flat tone which made David shiver. He nodded his head and immediately left the room, which was in an angry heat. Aditya had canceled the check which he gave her hoping she would look for him, but she didn’t. Whenever he closes his eyes, her sparkling eyes and the way she blushes make him wide awake until he has to take a cold shower in the middle of the night.

His nights are sleepless without her. It had been almost two months and he hadn’t touched any woman after her.

He felt disgusting if any woman approached him for s*x. None of them stands equal to her, Krisandra.

He called her name a few times, which made him feel ecstasy. She was the first woman he had s*x with without any protection. He is very careful in this matter, he is not interested in creating his juniors from this entire cheap woman’s womb.

All these women are with him for money. All are the same, including the woman who gave birth to me!! Why is this woman so different?

Why is she giving me a weird pain in my heart when I think about the night she hisses in pain? Where is she now? Is she pregnant with my child? I want her and my child!! I will not let go of you, Krisandra.
