IT WAS AFTER 8 O'CLOCK that evening when Jason looked up from his desk and saw Seth had exited the game and was back in his office. He looked tired. "How's it going in the game?" Jason asked. "Roped any stray calves yet?" "Nope," Seth said, his expression blank. "So what did you do?" "I looked around." "Just looked around? I'm sure you did more than that. Did you meet anybody in the game?" "I talked with an old guy and met a girl." "A girl? Well, how was that?" "It was okay, I guess." Seth said, fidgeting. "Can we go now. I'm hungry.
