As usual she was one of five students left on the Shepherd school district bus as it drifted towards the insignificant dot on a map called Rayburn. Just as usual, Julie refrained from talking to any of her fellow classmates, as she watched the wheat-gold grass bake in the afternoon sun. The tall grass kept her attention until the bus stopped at the first in a line of two-story houses at the edge of a town that spanned a mere four blocks.
