The Car Accident

A few months later.

"Good morning Anna," I greeted Anna who is now cooking for our breakfast.

"Good morning Claire. Why did you wake up so early?" she asked.

"It is your first day of home schooling now. Do prepare yourself and I will finish what you are cooking," I said.

"Are you sure Claire?" Anna asked me.

"Of course! I am the one who cooked for me and my sister when she is still alive. Just go now, I don't want you to get tired," I replied.

Anna don't have a last name that's why I give her a new name, Anna De Leon. I already treated her as a sister. Everything that I haven't done and give to my twin, I want to give it to her. She's my only friend, companion and the only one whom I can trust now. If I loose Anna, I will surely be in great pain.

Anna is the only one who understands me. She's the only one who tried to make me happy in times that I'm longing for my lost sister. Though I already recovered now, I never stop looking for the answers. The answers on my questions about Immortals like us. The answers of how my sister died and where is she now.

I already read a lot of books about Angels and Demons but it's different from each other. I don't know what to believe and maybe all of those books were just fictions. You know, the facts of humans now a days are so unbelievable. If only I can find another immortal in this world, I can finally have all the answers.

"Uhmmm!" Anna exclaimed. "This pork chops and sauce are perfectly delicious." She said.

"Really?" I asked.

"Of course!" Anna said even her mouth is full.

"Don't speak when your..," I said and Anna continued it.

"Mouth is full," Anna added.

"Good!" I replied. "I'm done now, I will go first. I have a lot of things to do," I added and stood up. Then, I kissed Anna's cheeks.

"Take care sister," Anna said.

"You too! Study hard and don't be naughty to your teacher. Bye!" I said and go out.

"Bye!" Anna replied and continue eating.

A few moments later.

"Ahhhhhhhh!" I shouted when I saw an old woman suddenly cross the streets even it's red light. It's so sudden and I'm so near to bump her.

I take a sudden break and close my eyes. Yet, I still heard something that I bumped.

"No, no, no!" I said and immediately went out of the car.

I see the old woman on the ground beside my car and a guy that I bumped. Maybe that guy helped the old woman lately, I'm not sure because I closed my eyes.

"Are you alright?" I asked the woman and help her stand up.

Then, she pointed her arm into the guy. I immediately run into the guy and saw that he's head is bleeding.

"Ahhh!" the guy is screaming in pain.

"Are you alright?" I asked.

"Do I look like I'm alright?" the guy asked back on me.

Tsss! A naughty guy.

"I'm sorry. Let me help you," I said and help him stand up.

"I will bring you to the hospital," I offered.

"No need. It is just a little wound," he replied.

"Sir, are you alright?" the traffic enforcer asked.

"Don't worry, I will bring him to the hospital right now. Besides, I'm a surgeon," I said to the traffic enforcer and give him my ID.

"OK ma'am!" the traffic enforcer replied.

"You must come with me. Don't worry, I will pay everything for you. It is my conscience if something happened to you because I'm the one who bumped you," I said while holding his hands and dragging him into my car.

"Ouch! Easy, I will come. Ok?" he told me.

"Oh! I'm so sorry!" I apologize and opened the door for him.

I enter the drivers seat and see in the mirror that his head is still bleeding.

We already caused a traffic that's why I already drive the car and look for a nearest spot to park. Besides, I know that he's not seriously injured.

"Why did you stop? There's no hospital here," the guy asked me.

Then, I get my first aid kit and go to the back seat.

"Let me put some first aid first to stop your head from bleeding. It's dangerous, there's no near hospital here," I replied and check his head.

"Hey! Are you trying to kill me?" he asked when I am checking his forehead.

"Just shut up Mr. Duck," I said because he's so annoying.

He have a big wound but it didn't damage his skull. Luckily, I am not driving very fast lately.

"Duck huh? I'm so handsome and you're calling me a duck? Seriously?" he asked.

I intentionally pressed his wound while I'm putting a bandage because of my irritation.

"Not just naughty, boastful too," I murmured.

"Ouch! Thankful you are that I'm not fighting with a little cat," he angrily said while pointing his forefinger on my forehead.

He heard what I murmured? Lol!

"Thankful you are that I still care for an ugly duckling," I replied seriously while getting his hand away from my face.

"Tsss. Childish!" he replied.

"Ugly! Naughty! Rude! Boastful! Duck!" I recite while going back to the driver's seat.

Then, he pretended to be sleeping. Better idea dude, I need peace of mind and silence now.

I am about to go back in my old burnt house today. I'm still hoping to find some clues there to know what really happened that night on my sister. Also, if she's alive, she will surely visit our old house even if it's already burnt. Unluckily, that old woman appeared and I bumped this duck.

A few moments later.

"Doc, is he alright?" I asked when the doctor came out of the room.

"Yes ma'am! The patient is alright and sleeping right now. His wound in his forehead is quite big but his vitals are stable. For now, let's just wait for the test results for further explanation," the doctor replied.

"Can I see him now?" I asked.

"Yes ma'am! I will take my leave now, excuse me," the doctor replied and I just smiled to her.

I enter the room and check the wound of the guy that I bumped lately. I used my eye power to examine his whole body and he is totally fine.

Then, I sit on the chair and called the phone number of Anna.

"Hello, Anna!" I said when she picked up the call.

"Yes Claire, why?" she asked.

"What are you doing now?" I asked.

"Eating with my teacher. It is lunch break nows," Anna replied.

"Good! Im not sure if I can go home later. Don't wait for me," I said.

"Why?" Anna asked.

"I will tell you if I'm home. Take care dear, bye!" I said and automatically hang up there call.

A few hours later.

"Took, took, took!" Someone knocked at the door.

"Come in!" I said and the nurse get inside.

"Good afternoon ma'am! I will just check the patient and give you the test results. So far there's no serious problem with the patient and you can go out anytime you want. If you have any questions and clarifications, Doctor Melsey is just in his room," the nurse said.

"If that's so, just send the bill here tomorrow morning," I replied and get the results.

"Yes ma'am!" The nurse replied and check the guy.

"He have a great inner force and I feel that he's different from other humans. Luckily, he is the one I bumped because if I bump the old woman, I guess I'm already in jail now. But, who is this guy?" I asked myself while staring at him.
