In the Beach

Darlene's Point of View

"My sister is a detective. She often do some exercises and practices martial arts at home. She teaches me sometimes," I replied to the Fire Queen.

"It's only that?" she asked.

"I stayed in an isolated area right after my sister died. I trained hard in martial arts for the whole year and I successfully made myself even more stronger," I replied.

"Sounds great," Fire Queen replied.

We talked about a lot more things and I really feel comfortable with her, just like with Anna and Leo. We hadn't noticed the time and now it's already 3:00 am.

"I have to go home now," I said.

"Why don't you try to sleep here?" she asked. "Just tonight," she added.

"Is it really alright if I stay here until tomorrow?" I asked.

"Of course!" she replied. "My men are occupying the 5 guest rooms with the other 5 men that we brought here lately. But, we have 4 bedrooms in the second room. I owned one while the other three were vacant," she said. "Let's go up there," she told me and stood up. Then, she led the way upstairs.

"Is this room alright for you?" she asked when we entered the second door from the left.

"This is so beautiful. It's alright. Thanks!" I said to her and sat in bed. "This bed is soft," I said while bouncing my butt on bed.

"That's good to hear," she replied. "I'll leave you here now. Good night," she said.

"Good night," I replied.

She smiled and made her way out of the room. She closed the door and I immediately took off my sneakers. I lay in bed and smiled. I feel like, I am very happy.

The Fire Queen looks unfriendly and cruel, but I feel that she's not. When we're talking lately and she told me a lot of things about her, I feel like we're already so close to each other. She is not as naughty as I thought at first. She is kind and she's not that cruel based on what she told me. Well, I hope that our friendship will last. A few more thoughts and I fell asleep.

I wake up when the beam of light touches my face. It was already 9:30 am, so I immediately fixed myself and went downstairs. I found 4 men in the living room, but Fire Queen was not there.

"You're the girl whom the Queen brought with us here, right?" one of them asked and they were all looking at me. "So, she let you stay here too, huh?" he asked.

"Yeah," I seriously replied. "Do you know where she is?" I asked.

"In the backyard," one of them replied.

They are staring on me from head to toe, but I don't mind it anymore. I immediately went out and went to the backyard to say goodbye to Fire Queen.

In the backyard, I found a wide garden of different roses. There are red roses, white roses, pink roses, peach roses, and violet roses. There was a little shed with two wooden chairs inside, and Fire Queen was sitting there. She found me coming and she smiled.

"Good morning," I greeted her while coming closer to the shed.

"Good morning too," she replied. "Sit down here," she offered the other chair beside her.

"Thanks!" I said and sat down in the chair. We are now looking at the blooming flowers of roses. "This garden is so beautiful," I said.

"You're right, and it's very relaxing to watch these flowers," Fire Queen replied.

"By the way, I can't stay any longer here. I still have to go to my beach resort," I said.

"Beach resort?" she asked.

"Yeah, I'm an owner of a beach resort now," I replied.

"I'd love to stroll there," she said. "Can I go there with you today?" Fire Queen excitedly asked me.

"Why not?" I asked her back. "I will be happy to serve you there. Let's go right now," I said and stood up.

I stretched my right arm for her and she held on it. She stood up, "Thanks," she said and I smiled.

We went back inside the house together. She only got something inside her room and we immediately went out. I used my motorcycle while she followed me with her car.

A few moments later,

"This place is so beautiful. Please come with me, let's go swimming," Fire Queen said while we are walking around.

"Sure, but let me tell my secretary first and I'll just change my clothes. Just wait for me here or anywhere if you want to stroll by yourself while waiting for me. Besides, we already have each other's phone number," I said.

"Alright. Just call me if you're done with your job. I'll just go into the tents beside the seashore. I'll wait for you there," she said and I smiled.

"Alright. I'll leave you here now," I said and immediately walked away.

I went to my hotel and entered my personal used room. I informed my secretary to cancel all my meetings and events as well as do the signature signing for me if necessary. Yeah, I'm giving her permission to sign my name, through a stamp signature if needed.

I wear a two-piece black swim suit and a long see-through blazer outside. I went out of my room and looked for Fire Queen. I found her standing under a coconut tree. She is wearing a black swim suit exactly like I am wearing right now.

"Water, you're already here," she said. Lol, she called me water.

"I'm sorry if I took too long and made you wait," I apologized and held her hand. "Let's go to the shore now?" I asked.

"Let's go," she happily replied and dragged my right hand. She ran like a kid and I had no choice but to run after her too, because she was holding my hand. I remember Joylene, my twin sister on her.

One time, we had a picnic on a beach too. Joylene was a very playful child when we were still young. Right after Mom and Dad let us stroll on the seashore, she immediately held my hands and dragged me to the shore. Even though Mom and Dad told us to wait for them and not go to in the water without them, Joylene still went to the water.

Seeing her enjoying the cool water, I had no choice but to go and play with her in the water. We were so happy that day, but on the night right after we got home, Joylene got sick. Since then, our parents have never let her stay in the water for too long.

"Hey!" Fire Queen called me. "Are you alright?" she asked. We're on the seashore now and I didn't realize that I had been stuck for a little while thinking about my twin sister.
