Nick and Linny

Chapter 1

Nick POV

I'm walking down the cold winter street. I just finished having an important dinner that made me billions. It's funny that through the years I have never truly been happy. I have everything but the one thing I desire most. Some would say it's ridiculous. That a demon of my magnitude would ever want my mate. My one true love. My soulmate. I've looked everywhere, but have never found her. I gave up a long time ago. I've been with women, but only a few months here and there. I use them to pass time until I find her. I feel like maybe I should give up and find a decent woman. I just don't know anymore. As I walk past an alleyway I smell something so delicious. It's calling to me. Telling me to go to it. That I must protect it. I walk down the alley towards the smell. I walk up to the most atrocious scene. I know I'm a demon, but I'd never do this. The most beautiful woman I've ever seen lays in a pool of blood. She's covered head to toe with bite marks,deep cuts and gashes. Her dress is shredded and painties down. Her legs are covered in blood. I checked her pulse and she's still alive. Everything's going to be ok I whisper in her ear. The white light consumes us as I use my demon powers. I connect us to heal her faster. Though it won't heal everything it's enough to sustain her. It is done. No going back now, we are connected forever. I pick her up and teleport to my home. I take her clothes off and bath her. I take her out to wrap the wounds that are left. Then I put her on an IV drip. I sat beside her waiting.

Lin POV

I was walking home after a few drinks with friends. I passed an alleyway. I heard a can being kicked, but I kept going. El what's going on? I don't know , but we need to run. I start running when I hear someone running behind me. I keep moving, but I trip. I get up only to be knocked over again. I taste blood in my mouth. I look down at the palm of my hand. It's cut. Then I feel some liquid running down my forehead. I place my hand on my head bringing it back down. Blood coats my finger. You smell delicious, says a harsh voice in my ear. Their hot breath hit my skin sending shivers. I tried to get up, but they injected me with something. I hear the tub fall and the glass shatters. They pick me up and take me back to the alley. They bite my neck. I realize it's a man as he takes his hand down my breast. He keeps pulling my dress up and my underwear down. I can't move .I can't speak .I can only hear and feel. There's chuckles behind him. Something about me next. Soon my dress is ripped to pieces. I'm being touched roughly and they keep biting me, draining my blood. He shoved himself inside of me. Mmm princess you are so tight. He keeps going as the tears fall down my face. They keep going back and forth as a pool of blood surrounds me. I'm dying. I don't care, please end it. I can't hear El. She's gone. I keep going in and out of consciousness. I feel someone coming to me. I hear in a long distance voice everything is going to be ok. I see a bright light as my world turns dark. I try opening my eyes but they don't want to open. Finally after seems like forever I get them open only to be blinded by bright lights. I can't move my arms. I look over and see bloody rags. I'm in a gray room in a very soft bed. I hear my door open. I see you are awake, says a husky voice. Soon he comes into view. His 6" 1 black short hair, gray eyes, broad shoulders, pale skin and high cheekbones. Am I in heaven I think. No, but you are an angel, he says. I blush hard realizing I said that out loud. He chuckles, it sounds so beautiful. He grabs my hand. How are you feeling? Thirsty. He grabs a glass of water and helps me drink. The coolness of the water clenches my dry throat. Thank you. You're welcome. Umm.. I have a few questions. Ok he says. Umm.. What's your name? Nick. I'm linny. That's a beautiful name. Thanks. Nick, where am I and how did I get here? Well umm.. I think you should rest for now and then we can talk. I grab his hand stopping him. I feel an electrical current run through me. He looks at me with shock and uncertainty. Please stay, I say softly. He sits and waits for me to talk. I clear my throat, not letting go of his hand. I know what happened, but how did I get here and why did you help me? Well I was walking through and heard noise in the alley and went to check it out. I found you, brought you here, fixed you up and now you're awake. Nick? Yeah? I know you're a demon and that you smelled my blood and also know I'm a hybrid. What I don't understand is why you brought me here instead of finishing it. He looks shocked. He opens his mouth only to close it. He scratches the back of his head. Well.. I.. I smelled your blood and it wasn't just the smell. It was like I was being pulled to you. I found you and healed you with my powers connecting us. I teleported here and cleaned you up. He says. Come here I say. He leaned forward. I smack him upside the head. Don't ever lie to me again I yell. He looks shocked. Also now that we are connected what does that mean? Well it's not quite a connection it's umm.. I used my mate bonding light to connect us so I could heal you. Now we are connected and the only way to break it is to die. We can only be apart so long or it will kill us both. Also my father and the council will be pissed knowing I did this. To add to this I can always find you no matter where you are because of it. Are you f*****g kidding me. Well this adds onto my craziness. You think this is bad, wait until I tell you this. Here goes. Alright here's the short version and everything I've learned from this. He looks at me strangely. I started being teleported when I was 18. I soon realized I was being transported to various places; packs, covens, witches, realms ect. Any place that people say are fairy tales. I help them and when my mission is done I move forward. I never know how long I'm going to be in one place. How does it work if you are in a werewolf pack? I shift into my wolf El. Do you have mates? No idea and I don't know if I ever will. How do you do it exactly? Do what? Well if you shift into a wolf how do you shift into the vampire or witch. Well, wherever I am my counterpart becomes more dominant. You're ok with not knowing why this happens? Yeah I've come to realize I may never understand , but I get to help a lot of people and that's what makes it worth it. When I'm not being transported I own a construction company. Why do I feel the need to tell you everything? It's the connection. Oh. Well, tell me about you. How about I get you something to eat then we can talk. Ok can I have tomato soup and grilled cheese? He chuckles, yes you can. I'll be back, do you need anything? Not right now but thank you. He nods, leaving me alone. I try to contact El, but no luck. I sigh trying to keep my mind occupied. Omg I need to contact Val. Wait, he doesn't know I'm back yet. Plus he's still out on business. I'm talking to myself when I hear a knock. Nick opens the door carrying a try. Oh thank you so much. No need to keep thanking me darling. Darling? I think to myself. He sits on the tray in front of me and starts to leave. Wait. He turns, looking at me with those piercing gray eyes. Please stay. He shrugs and sets back down. I take a bite of my soup. I moan in pleasure. Who knew tomato soup could be so good. This is really good! Thanks. How'd you learn to cook? My job allows me to travel all around the world. In my free time I'd go around and watch the people cook. I actually took a few cooking classes as well. That's really cool! I learned from my best friend Valor. He's been there for me for a very long time. I also learned from my adventures. What has been your favorite adventure so far? Honestly all of them. How many have you had and what was your longest one? I started when I was 18 and lost count but I remember all of them. I've loved every one of them. The longest was 6 years. In between I worked and started my business. I had a few planned adventures. It's been a great learning experience and I've met a lot of people.

Meeting You 2

Nicks Pov

So you just randomly started disappearing and going to a place unknown to you. To do something you know nothing about? Yes I know it's strange but, it's been an amazing experience. Lin says. I just can't get my head wrapped around the fact that this happens to you.It took me a while but I soon figured out that everything was going to be ok says Lin. I sit there looking at her thinking of how someone or really myself could be ok with something so profound. I smile and leave her to eat. I think to myself what would I do if I was in her situation. I go to my office and sit in my chair. Pulling out some unfinished work I begin the task unable to continue thinking about Lin's situation and the fact that I could have possibly just made it worse for her. I continue working for about two hours and decide to check on Lin. I walk to her room and find her sleeping. I smile at how beautiful she looks. Realizing I've been standing there watching her sleep smiling like a creep for about 10 min. I slowly close the door and decide to order from a small Italian restaurant. I grab a few water bottles and plates while waiting on the food. Soon the food arrives. I pay the guy and take the food to the kitchen. I separate it and place the plates on the tray. I go to Lin's room, balancing the tray. I open the door to see her setting up looking out the window. Well I see you're awake. I brought some food. How do you feel? I feel better but I still can't connect to El. I don't know what that stuff was but, it took a lot out of me. Well here's some food and water. Let's get your strength up. Oh and I brought some orange juice. Thank you so much and this smells so good. Too bad you didn't make it. How do you know I didn't make this? Well because I woke up to someone staring at me with a goofy smile about 20 minutes ago. Also this is my favorite dish from Mario's. I..umm… Nick it's ok she laughs. Your laugh is beautiful. She blushes slightly and smiles. She reaches and grabs my hand. My heart flutters as she touches my hand. She lightly rubs her thumb over my knuckles. I look up at her as she stares down at my hand continuing to rub my hand. I don't want her to stop. I lean closer and press my lips to hers ever so lightly. I look into her beautiful blue eyes. She smiles at me. I can't help but smile at her. It's so contagious.

Lin's POV:

While I finish eating I can't help but worry that I can't hear from El. I'm scared of what that guy injected me with. I've never had that happen before. I lost every ability except how to feel. Then Nick finds me, heals me and now we're connected and can't get out of it unless one of us dies. How in the hell did my life get like this? I accepted my soul purpose of helping people , but how is us being connected going to affect it. I set the tray on the stand beside me. I'm so tired I soon fall asleep hoping rest will get me back to El and my other counterparts. Els is the only one who has a voice. Hey Lin, how are you feeling says El! omg your back thank god! This has been crazy and gives me very uneasy feelings. Someone had to know what they were doing. But who could it be and why? I'm sure we've made enemies along the way. What about Evan? It's a possibility. After he kidnapped us it's hard to say. We'll figure it out! Yes we will. Now get some sleep so we can kick ass again, says el. I laugh and soon fall into a deep sleep. Hoping and praying for everything to be ok. My dream leads me to this beautiful mountain with flowers surrounding me. I smell this crisp mountain air that makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I go to walk only to stay in place. Huh? What the hell? Why can’t I move? I continue looking around, feeling at ease. This place feels like home, wonder why? I’m soon transported to a different scene. There’s bodies everywhere. Blood covers the ground. What the hell is this? Then I hear a faint whisper and it says Be warned , young one life is going to throw you a bigger curveball than ever before. Be patient. The time will come when you will return and all will be explained. But be warned a discussion of greatness will either lead you to wonders you could never imagine or take you to a dark place. Be careful with Nick, he is destined for destruction unless you help lead him to a better path. There will be heartbreak with him along the way ,but hold onto him with all you have. I spring up from bed and look around. What the hell was that? Then the pain kicks in. f**k that hurts. Guys what was that? We don’t know Lin ,but something very powerful. All we can do is take its warning. I lay back trying to process what I heard and saw. I sigh heavily. I try to get up ,but that's not the best idea. f**k!

Nicks POV

I'm working at my desk when all the sudden I hear f**k! I jump up running to Lin's room. I open the door seeing her wincing in pain as she trys to set up. Lin you need to lay down. I say as I walk over to her. She looks at me with rear filled eyes without thinking I climb into bed pulling her in close. She sighs as if my touch takes away the pain. She snuggles closer, closing her eyes falling asleep. I stay there holding her never wanting to let her go. I'm not sure what happened but it scared the s**t out of me. I felt fear and pain that wasn't mine. What scares me even more is how quickly the bonds worked. What am I to do? No one can find out. Especially my father and the head council Cesar.

Fools said I, you do not know, silence like a cancer grows

But my words like silent raindrops fell

And echoed

In the wells of silence to never return my voice, my tears my sorrows were not heard the sound of my heart is all that remained you left me for the last time for I will. Remain in the silence for it calls to me like a long lost friend a friend I have come to know all to well it comforts me as my silent tears stream down my face bc I'm finally saying goodbye for the last time.
