“What happened? Who did this? Who ambushed you all?” Adonis yelled. “How is it possible that they were able to get ahead of you? How did they find out about our plans?”
“You need to calm down…” I whispered against his ear, but he wasn’t hearing anyone out.
“Isn’t it obvious? Why are you asking like you don’t know? There’s only one person who knows how deep our operations go, who understands how we infiltrate and invade packs.” Eris walked towards where we stood and slowly stepped between Adonis and me. “And she’s sitting right inside their pack comfortably.”
I immediately turned to face her when I heard that bullshit. “What are you trying to say?” I hissed.
“The obvious truth, since everyone wants to be blind to the truth…” The room fell into complete silence.
