Princess Lebo is taking out her phone when a Beta I have not met before shows up. He gives me the degusted look before addressing the princess without greeting me. I am a slave and way below him in hierarchy in his daft head.
“Princess, you can’t be here, talking to her. Alpha Zake has made it clear that you are to have no contact with humans.”
The her in his sentence is referring to me and said with so much disgust. I flash the princess a smile and leave her glaring at the Beta. Her brother really has a beef with us. I wonder why.
It is a relief when I finish hanging clothes on the right line. I am even more relieved that no one else besides the princess saw my blunder. I don’t think the Beta noticed.
