Chapter 109: Mathew's POV
"I will never forgive you if you let her leave us again!" Orion threatened. "I will tear the earth open! I will go on a rampage if you let our mate and pups leave us!" Orion's rage and heartbreak was palpable. It was consuming the both of us. Seeing her like that...seeing the life being squeezed out of her until her caramel skin turned blue and purple. Seeing the fire slowly die in her eyes. It was breaking us. It was tearing us apart. Everyone was storming the battlefield now that the shield was down. For some reason, for some bizarre reason, we were no longer divided. It was as if the centaurs, kelpies and gryphons were all awakened by the eclipse above our heads.
