As dawn came gradually, In the dimly lit room, I saw shadows dancing across the walls, casting weird shapes in the darkness. Despite the exhaustion that weighed heavy on my eyelids, sleep remained unavailable as my mind was racing with thoughts of what wasn’t real. As I lay there, I felt so restless and uncomfortable. Then next I heard a soft creaking sound which pierced the silence of the bedroom. My heart instantly skipped a beat as I strained my eyes to identify its source. Was it just the old house settling, or something creepier, or even my mind playing a trick on me? I became more restless when I heard Lily’s snore. I can't be left all alone here. "Lily?"
