“Adler!” Sarah shouted in worry when Adler couldn’t stop himself from slapping Veronica. Her face was anxious, and she went to the middle to stop Adler from hitting Veronica again. Adler was shaking with outrage; all he could see was red.
When Sarah looked at Veronica, who was still in shock over the slap, she took a deep breath, and her expression changed to one of distress. She went closer to Adler, but Adler moved away. He was agitated that their plans wouldn’t be successful because of how stupid his daughter, Veronica, was. His chest was moving violently; a part of him wanted to hurt Veronica again.
