“About my mother...” Steven paused and gazed into my eyes, making me think he was invading my soul. I couldn’t understand why he seemed hesitant when he was looking at me. It looked like his mother was a hot topic in his life.
Steven sighed before continuing, “I know that I already mentioned her to you and even introduced you, but nobody knows about her. I hid her to protect her. She is not allowed to meet strangers because her mental state is not too good. She might see me occasionally but is unaware that I’m her son. You don’t need to worry about her state because I can take care of her. I will do everything to make her fine and recover too fast.”
