Iris looked at Blake in disbelief. Her mind raced with so many thoughts. "I don't understand. I mean, I know that she has been hinting to me about it, but for you to say it so bluntly is definitely something different." "Who has been hinting to you about it?" Blake asked curiously with a small glint in his eye. "Her, Aurora. She had been hinting about it since our first meeting in that relam that she is trapped in." Blake smiled widely. "You remember her name, the dark lord. I bet that she did not tell her name in your meetings with her." "How would you know that?" "Because, with all of the memories and secrets that you have entrusted to me to carry, I do know that she likes to try to be a mystery to get you to force the answers out of her." He smirked at the thought. "The memory that you saw right now, which one was it?" Iris blushed before she started talking. "It was the first time that I marked her in a roaring field in a place that I've never seen before." "It's a place that you've seen before. Just look out at the place that you've created." Iris turned her head and looked out the doors to the mystical place that she had created. In the distance, she saw a clearing beyond the trees, and her heart clenched. It was that place that she had just seen in her dream. She felt her eyes well up with unseen tears. She looked at Blake quickly in shock. He only smiled. "That was the place that I saw in my mind right before I woke up. But how?" "Because, somewhere deep down inside, you remember everything. You always have. You just have to bring it up to your conscious now to realize it." "But how do I do that? I need a better answer than unsealing that tree. I need something that will help me now, not in however long it will take me find and figure that out." Blake put his hand to his chin in thought. He might have a few suggestions, but he didn't know if she would like them. "I can help, but you have trust me. And we have to meet every day." She looked at him in question. "I have many secrets, my Lord. Remember, i live to serve and protect you." She sighed before nodding. "Now come here and lie down." She looked at him in question. "I am going to put you into a dream like state. It's what I did before to send you back to a memory. I can't choose the period or any particular memory. It is just where your mind takes you." Iris nodded and did as he asked. "Now relax and close your eyes while taking deep breaths." She did as he asked and felt herself starting to slip away into a far place. ************************* Iris opened her eyes to see she was sitting next to a small battle arena. It looked like a small practice one. She was outside. It was cold. Snow was on the ground, and it started to fall in little flakes around her. She heard a voice and looked down into the arena. She saw herself and a man down there. She narrowed her eyes. He looked like the man who was supposed to be her betrothed, too. He had a cocky smile on his face. But he looked different. His skin was darker, and his eyes were completely black in color. He folded his arms over his chest while he looked her up and down. "What do you want? I was in the middle of training." "You know why I brought you here. You know that your hand is supposed to mine, not that dark lord freak. You are mine Iris, you should have accepted that by now. Now I will go to your father and request this deal to be off." She snorted at his arrogance. "You will do no such thing. I have no such interest in you, and she is much more powerful than you are. You could never get to her level. You don't even have the power to challenge me. You are nothing but a pawn under my foot that will take orders like a good soldier." "I will take you, whether you agree or not." She snorted again. "You are disillusioned. That will never happen. If you attempt to lay a hand on me, you will lose it." Iris watched the scene unfold as noise was heard next to her. She looked to see Aurora taking a seat as she listened in. She ran her eyes over her in the light and felt her heart jump in her chest. She was beautiful. She saw Aurora smirk at the circumstance unfolding in front of her. Before Iris turned her head as she heard her speak softly to herself. "She is and will always be mine, peasant man. I'll kill you if you get close to her." "How dare you say such a thing to me. I am the top warrior and will be the next general." "I don't care. Get away from me. You will never match up or even begin to compare to her. Besides, she's a lot more attractive than you are." His face turned crimson in rage at being denied by her again. "I will show you your place, woman. I don't care if you're a goddess or not." He walked over to her, but before he got within two feet, he was up in the air by his neck looking down at a stone faced Aurora. "I will, show you your place, peasant. Do not touch your future queen. You won't even be leaving this practice field with your life. You are a minor God with no real strength, presence, or power, unlike myself. You are not worth even being killed by me. Your face makes me feel nothing but the need to make you disappear." Aurora felt Iris's hand on her shoulder. "As much as I hate to say this, let him go. He isn't worth the time." Aurora dropped him harshly as he crumbled on the ground, gasping for air. Aurora turned to Iris and abruptly pulled her into her body hard. "What are," Iris was pulled into a hard kiss that quickly turned into something deeper. Iris wrapped her arms around Aurora's neck and pulled them closer together, not yet willing to let go. Iris had already forgotten about the minor God as she started to melt into Aurora's hold. Iris couldn't understand why this woman caused the reaction in her that she did. She always just melted into her since their first kiss. They pulled apart when they heard the man stand up behind them. "Do you see, she is mine. The next time you come anywhere near her, I will kill you. Be lucky that you left with your life. You may be a God, but God's can kill other God's peasant. Know your place." Aurora looked to him with cold eyes. "Now leave before I do kill you and bury you in the snow somewhere. Just because it would be fun." She gave him a deadly smirk. He grunted and looked at Iris. "You will be mine one day goddess, whether you like it or not." He turned and ran off and out of sight. They looked at each other and smiled. "That was probably the hottest thing that I've seen you do, baby." Iris smiled after telling Aurora. "Well, I can do a lot more than that." She grabbed Iris and crushed her lips to hers. She bit her lip, causing Iris to moan, taking her chance for her tongue to slip inside her mouth to explore. Aurora pulled away to start placing kisses on her neck as Iris placed her fingers in her silky hair. "How much of that conversation did you hear?" Aurora stopped and looked at her. "Enough. If that man or anyone, including a God, comes near you. I'm going to kill them. You are mine Iris, and no one deserves to get close to you except for me." Iris threw her arms around Aurora. "I never knew that you were so possessive, babe." Iris locked their lips again but pulled apart when she felt Aurora's hand cup her ass. "Don't get too carried away. We won't be able to control ourselves." ********************* Blake looked at Iris in her unconscious state. He wondered which memory she was experiencing now. She had thousands of years' worth of them.
