Iris awoke with a start. Her powers flared up, ready to protect her. She felt mildly angry at being woken up since that meant cutting time short with Aurora. It was already limited, so she enjoyed her time down to the last second. She looked at the door to see her siblings and Blake standing there. They looked disoriented as she looked them over.
"What is the problem?"
"I have located your weapons, my Lord!" Blake almost shouted in excitement. Her eyes widened, and she sat up, forgetting that she slept nude. The blanket pooled at her waist as she looked at them. Sae immediately turned his face away along with Blake. Cassidy looked at her sister and blushed.
"Iris, please cover yourself. There are men present." She looked down and saw the very dark and distinct red markings on her body that Aurora had left. She quickly pulled the sheet to cover her as she looked at them, slightly embarrassed. Cassidy looked at her before speaking, "we will talk about these marks later. But for now, get up and get dressed. We will be waiting outside of the door for you. So make haste." With that, they closed the door as they exited the room.
*****************
Iris stepped outside of her room to meet the faces of the three people she cared about the most. She looked to Blake. "So you found my weapons."
He nodded and then looked around, seeing if someone was watching. She understood and spoke, "Let's go somewhere a little more private."
"I'll take the lead on that," Sae said before leading the way. Blake followed behind, leaving Iris and her sister in the back. Cassidy looked at Iris with suspicious eyes.
"Why are you staring at me so intensely? My head isn't going to change anytime soon." Cassidy cleared her throat.
"Because I'm fairly certain that you haven't left the city. The only places that you have gone have ended up being in the company of one of us three. So unless you're fooling everyone by being with Blake, I can't explain these marks on your chest." There was silence between the two for a moment as Iris felt a hot blush on her face as she thought about Aurora and the things that they did together. She felt Cassidy look at her, waiting for her to talk.
"Well, I am not secretly seeing Blake. He is not my type. You will meet my destiny not too long from now if I can help it."
"Why is he a secret? What's wrong with the guy? Are you afraid of what mom and dad would say if they found out?" Iris clenched her teeth before releasing them.
"The very last thing I am worried about is mom and dad. They will not be able to stop what will happen."
"Then why the secrecy?"
"Because sister, my plans will be ruined if people start to find out. Things need to be kept a certain way to make sure the outcome is in my favor with little standing in my way. And the only way is to keep it hush from everyone." Cassidy looked at her with narrowed eyes but nodded. She wouldn't continue to push it, but she would definitely be keeping a closer eye on her from now. If Iris wasn't going to tell her, then she would figure it out on her own.
They arrived at the room and walked inside. It was her brother's personal study. They all took a seat and looked to Blake.
"This morning, one of them found your weapons. They are sealed off in a room and encased in glass. Even now, the signal is radiating from it. The rest of them have already returned." Blake had out his hand to return the other 5 mice that she had sent out. She grabbed them, absorbing their information with a sigh. She saw everywhere they had been played through her mind in a flash. One of them in particular perked her interest, but she would have to search it later.
She looked at him before standing and walking over. "Give me access to look my servant." He nodded before closing his eyes and opening his mind to her. She touched her fingertips to his forehead. She saw the path laid out by the creature, followed by how it entered the facility leading up to the room that it was in to let off the signal that it had been successful in its search. She saw the axes and felt how they called out to her. The sadness entered her as she felt what they felt. She reached out to them using the mouse as her projection. She would be there with them soon.
She pulled her hand back and looked at her siblings. "I know where they are. They are a week's journey away from here. But there are demons lining the way." She sighed. But they would need a small team to and supplies to make this the most effective mission. "We will need a team. A small one that is elite and strong. The three of us could do this alone, but a small team would be better to handle any unforseen obstacles there." They looked at each other.
"There is only one way to settle the matter." Everyone looked to Sae. "We will hold a series of tests that only the best of the best can handle. Do you think that you could create a course made to fit real-world instances Iris, inside of the city walls without there being an actual threat to the people and soldiers?" Iris thought for a moment.
"If you allow me to gain some insights of the experiences that you have faced out in the field from over the years, along with my knowledge, I could make something happen." Sae nodded.
"It will be done."
"Thank you for this, Blake. You have been a tremendous help in this. Go back to your post, and I shall call on you again very soon." He nodded and kissed Iris's hand. She smiled at him fondly. He stood and whispered into her ear before she left.
"Make sure to let the other creater know what you are up to. Lest you both end up fighting for dominance once again, like it seems you have been doing regularly these nights." Iris blushed but nodded. Blake smirked with a bow and disappeared out of the room to return back to his post at the wall.
Cassidy cleared her throat as she saw the blush on Iris's face. "What did he say to you?" She looked at Iris suspiciously.
"Nothing that will affect anyone but myself." She shook the blush off of her face. "Now we have work to do. Please sit, and I will explain how I will be able to do this." Her siblings nodded and looked to her as she explained the process of what was going to happen.
For the next two hours, she gathered information that was the equivalent of the ten years that she had been gone. In the end, she sighed in exhaustion from the information overload. There was so much she had to do. This would have to be done over some days to create everything and for the troops to be tested. It was going to be a long week.
