Emily was taken aback by Alexander's offer. She didn't know much about him, but there was something about his confident and mysterious demeanor that put her at ease.
"What do you know about Victoria?" Emily asked, her curiosity piqued.
Alexander smiled, his eyes glinting with amusement. "Let's just say I have my ways of gathering information. Victoria is not what she seems. She has an ulterior motive for pursuing James, and it's not just about love."
Emily's mind raced with questions. What could Victoria's true intentions be? And why was Alexander helping her?
