  Christian’s POV   As Hannah walked out of the courtroom, her back straight and head held high, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of pride. She’d handled Lyla’s petty accusations with more grace and composure than anyone could have expected. But as the door clicked shut behind her, I knew the scene wasn’t quite over yet.   Lyla was still fuming, pacing back and forth like a caged animal. Her frustration was palpable, the air thick with the tension she couldn’t seem to shake off. I leaned against the wall just outside the room, listening as she muttered bitter curses under her breath, mostly directed at Hannah but also laced with self-pity.
