  Hannah’s POV   Christian’s voice, rough and quiet, pulled me out of my thoughts. The room was still and silent, with only the faint hum of the air conditioning and the occasional rustling of sheets as he shifted on the bed.   He was sitting on the bed and waiting for me to say something, anything. I could feel the weight of his gaze on me, even though his eyes were half-closed from exhaustion.   He seemed to struggle with his words, his throat dry from both the alcohol and whatever emotions he was wrestling with.
