Hannah POV
I walked in the corridor to see and hear what was going on. And there I spotted Joseph standing in the doorway of Aubrey's room.
His posture was tense, and I could sense the frustration radiating off him. Curious, I slowed my steps, wondering what could bother him so much.
That's when I heard her voice, Aubrey. She was inside the room, and from what I could tell, they were in the middle of a serious conversation.
I felt a pang of surprise shoot through me. I had no idea Joseph and Aubrey knew each other. Since when has this happened? I stopped in my tracks, not wanting to intrude but unable to walk away. The hallway was quiet, and their voices carried clearly to where I stood.
