Liam’s POV
At first, Brina (AKA Adeline) turned away and I thought she would completely ignore me. I waited a few moments before I noticed her nod her head. She then turned back to me and held out her wounded arm towards me. I went to take off the elbow high gloves she was wearing, but this must have startled her because she jumped.
“NO!” she said loudly, “leave the gloves on...please” she added quickly.
“Alright, I will leave them alone.” I said calmly to her. She was really jumpy.
It was not a problem leaving her gloves on though. I would still be able to examine her arm even with the gloves on. The scratches appeared to stop at her elbow anyway. I opened the saddle bag and pulled out some clean strips of cloth and healing salve my father had made. I also picked up the waterskin
