Liam's POV
It was nice to finally have a few answers now, but I was pretty sure Brina (AKA Adeline) was still hiding something. After we had gone a fair distance, Brina asked me if I had any food. I was getting hungry too.
“I've only got a little bit, some soda bread and cheese” I told her.
“ Let's stop for a bit, we can let the horses rest,” Brina suggested.
“Good idea,” I agreed with her.
“Too bad it's too soon for berries” Brina said.
We found a small clearing and tied the horses. They likely needed a bit of a rest too. I took a bit of the food I had in the saddle bag and handed it to Brina. She ate it pretty fast.
“Thank you, Liam” she said to me.
