Liam’s POV
Adeline wasn’t heavy, but the muscles in my arm were all flexed and straining trying to pull her back up. Her gloves were making it hard to keep a grip on her.
“Hang on Adeline, give me your other hand.” I reached out with my other hand for her. I watched as she swung her other arm up for me.
“Don’t let go, Liam” Adeline screamed again as she slipped further out of my grip. She was reaching up with her other arm and I managed to get a hold of her hand.
“Alright, I’ve got you Adeline.” My hold on her was tenuous. I needed to hold her as tight as possible and pull her up before I completely lost my grip on her.
