I was watching the guests and keeping an eye on Adeline. So far, things have been going well. After Brett and his family were removed from the castle grounds, the rest of the evening was more relaxed. I decided to get some food at one of the tables. I'm glad things were going well; I was getting too old for battles and fights. The guardians were doing a fine job. I turned away from everyone and picked some spiced ham and fresh fruit from the large table. I turned back and did another scan of the room. Amelia and Calvin were at the front, everything looked good so far, but as I scanned the room, I couldn't see Adeline anywhere. I looked around again. Where could she be? Maybe she went to her bedchamber. I questioned the Guardian who was guarding the exit leading to the bedcha
