Gone

I woke up feeling like someone sat there and made a million tiny cuts under my skin. My head was aching so bad, it was hard to think. I groaned, sitting up in a strange bed. It was an actual bed.The clean, crisp, sheets were white. I looked around, and saw other empty beds. I panicked, not wanting to have anymore tests done to me. Jumping out of bed, I ran out of the room, only to be greeted by sunlight. Sunlight? I was outside. I looked behind me, noticing that I was in a hut. A cough brought me back to reality. A red fox looked at me disapproval before saying, " I was going to clear you for next week, but since you are up and running, you can go." I slowly walked down the path, noticing that the loose band I was wearing is now gone. Yay, it must of fell off my paw when...I forgot. What was that scent of blueberries, or more specifically, cinnamon blueberries. Last thing I remember was getting shredded by a creepy group of vampires. That was not pleasant. I heard whispers before stumbling over a foot. I regained my balance, only to be pushed to the side. My breath hitched in my throat, before I splashed down in the lake. It was beautiful with the sun gleaming down, making the bottom more alive. Tan sand filled the bottom, giving a home to a variety of plants and snails. Hundreds of fish swam by, small and large. Multicolored rocks sat, giving home to algae. I was running out of air, but I saw something gleaming, and had to check it out. There was a skeleton with a beautiful ring, the ring had a red stone engraved in it. I slipped the ring off the middle finger and swam up for air. I don't think it's stealing if the person is dead, and not in a grave or tomb. At least I hope not. I wouldn't want to get arrested for that. Not that I know if there are still police in this new world. Crawling out of the water, I slipped the ring on my left middle finger. It shone dimly in the morning sun. Morning sun, I have to go to training right now! Ignoring my exhaustion, I sped into training. "Welcome," said my trainer. "I didn't expect you back so soon after your...accident. It also looks like you took the liberty of a bath before we got here" I snapped back,"I was pushed into the lake." "If you didn't know, that is were we take our baths!" I think I hit yet another nerve." Who pushed her into the lake?" A dark haired, tan guy smirked. I'd hate to admit it, but he was kind of cute. He raised his hand, grinning at me. He is so not cute. "Why did you do it?" He just shrugged. "Should she get special treatment for what you did?" He replied,"No, sir." "Did you just tell me no?" He grinned,"yes." He clapped him on the back. "See, that is why I like you." I frowned. He paired us against each other. My partner was in fox form. "Shift to fox and fight!" We obeyed, and she lunged. Her scent was of burnt rubber. I sidestepped, jumping on her back and pinning her. "Are we in a class of sissies? Get a grip and fight." I sat on her, looking at my trainer. "Are you disobeying a direct order." He shouted at me. I smirked, "Yes I am." His face looked like it was about to explode. "Then get out!" Claude came to the rescue, telling him that he is being unfair. He kicked him out as well. I felt bad for Claude, but he waved it off like it was nothing. "I wanted to leave anyways. He stopped at a makeshift tepee, and the girl I saved ran out, hugging me. "I wanted to thank you before, but I wasn't allowed, so I waited over here. "Where are your parents," I asked. "I ran away. My dad abuses my mom, and she can't get away from him." I nodded. "You can stay with us." Her smile lit up her whole face, and she skipped ahead. "So where exactly are we going?" Claude asked perplexed. "Wherever like takes us," I replied twisting my ring. The ring was silver, and engraved on it was elaborate designs of vines. Out of nowhere, a scent washed over my nose, and a figure stepped out of the trees.
