Elementary School

713 Words
In elementary school, she knew she wasn't the talk of the school, she didn't have many friends and was always picked on by many people in the school, including the teachers. Since she was a teacher's daughter, all the teachers expected her to be at the top of the class and with that they were always harder on her. She was just like all the other kids, and they didn't see it. She also struggled in school, learning different things sometimes became harder for her because she didn't quite understand what was going on. There was an incident in fourth grade with her best friend, her and another girl. Her best friend, KC, made friends with a girl named Arron. Now Aaron and Eliza weren't getting along too well. Eliza wanted to hang out with KC and Aaron didn't want her to be with them at all. One day, at lunch, Aaron wanted to sit with KC alone, so she had her other friends sit all around them so Eliza couldn't sit with them. When Eliza was eating, KC came and sat down with her because Aaron was sitting there ignoring her and talking to all her friends around them. When Aaron found out that KC had come to the other end of the table to sit with Eliza, she got jealous and angry. At recess, Aaron went around telling people lies about Eliza. No one told her except one of her friends, Ally. When Eliza got over there, to confront her, recess was over. When Eliza went over to talk to one of her other friends to see what was going on, all her friends stopped being friends with her. In sixth grade, Eliza was alone. All she had was KC, and KC made things hard for her. No one really said anything to Eliza for a while, she was the outcast of the school. She was so tired of trying to make friends she gave up until the beginning of seventh grade, when she made friends with a girl named Beth. Beth was a good friend and they were inseparable, except KC had to be in the middle of everything. Beth and Eliza had to always be with KC or she would get mad. When she finally was able to make some friends, they stayed friends until high school, and some even after. Now, in elementary school, she did make an enemy that was a friend. At the end of seventh grade, Eliza had to write a letter to two of her friends telling them that she could no longer be friends with them. They weren't bad people, she just didn't like hanging out with them. She did this because it was her friend KC's idea. All along, KC just didn't like sharing her two closest friends with other people. So, at the end of seventh grade Eliza made the letters and then she had to hand them to the other two girls. That was a mistake. The summer between seventh and eighth grade was the worst. One of the girls she told she could no longer be friends with started texting her. She was bullying her and, on top of that, her cousin got involved. Eliza had no idea what to do so she kept responding and she began unintentionally bullying the girl that was bullying her without realizing it. The three girls would go back and forth until Eliza gave up and went to her sister and her mom for help. The only way to get them to stop was to have Eliza's mother call and threaten to call the police on the girls if they didn't stop harassing Eliza. Eighth grade was easy for Eliza. She made friends with the girl that had been bullying her before. They both apologized for everything that was said and they went on with their lives. The hardest part of eighth grade was leaving elementary school. In elementary school, things were easy. Eliza had her friends and now they were all leaving and they would be in different classes in high school and she didn't even know if she was even really going to see them at all in high school. She was more afraid of being alone now, more than ever.
