Chapter 11- Anniversary Ball

Things were finally looking up for me. I found a really amazing and caring mate who would always make time for me despite his extremely busy schedule and my training was going pretty good as well.

As expected, soon enough, I was being paired against the really good fighters. I did seem to make my trainer- Dimitri proud.

It had been a month now and almost time for Xander's parents to return. They were to return tomorrow evening but what I didn't understand was, why was everyone decorating the palace, as if some occasion is taking place. So I decided to ask Xander tonight, once he gets done with his work.

I stayed up all night for him but he didn't return to his bedroom yet. I paced back and forth in my room awaiting for him because I need to know what's going on. If there is any special occasion which I known it is, I would definitely want to make a good first impression on his parents by atleast not meeting them empty handed and even though I could conjure up something using magic, I would still require some time to do that.

I got tired of pacing around so I laid back on my bed and soon enough I had a dreamless sleep.

I woke up with the chitter- chatter outside the door. I could faintly hear someone giving orders and the footsteps of people running around. Somehow even after being sleepy, I was able to recognize Xander's voice, so I dragged myself out of the bed and straight to the door.

I opened the door and stood near the doorway. Xander quickly finished giving another order and turned to me,

"Hey baby, you're finally up. I hope you had a good sleep", he smiled.

"Heyyyyy.. where were you last night. I was waiting for you", I said, still a bit sleepy.

He hugged me and kissed my forehead and said, "I'm sorry to keep you waiting, love, but I was really busy preparing everything and sending out the last minute invites. It has been so crazy for the past 2 days to make sure everything gets done on time."

I pulled back and completely confused by now.

"Getting everything ready for what? And who are you inviting? Other packs?", I asked.

"Mom and dad's 25th wedding anniversary. And yes, definitely the Alphas and their packs are invited but as you know it's a grand event, almost all Supernatural communities are invited.", he replied with a smile.

I felt myself getting pale.

"Wait! All of them?? What do you mean by all????!!", I almost shouted.

Xander held my face in his hands and said, "Geez, Alexa. Calm down. If you're not ready I won't introduce us today itself. Today is about my parents anyways so I wouldn't wanna steal their spotlight either. So you would just be my date for tonight. We'll choose some other day to tell the world about us. Don't you worry love."

Then he held my hands and almost dragged me along to another room, since I was being reluctant to move. Once we entered, I saw Diana getting ready in front of a mirror and a rack of gowns behind her. There were 2 maids and Xander's assistant, Claire, giving them instructions. Once they saw us enter, they all turned towards us and Claire approached us.

She bowed to Xander and said, "I've instructed them Alpha, they would get Luna ready by 5 and I've already kept lunch ready for her as well, so she can eat and then start getting ready." She then pointed to one of the maids, who had a plate in her hand.

"Perfect. I'll leave Alexa in your hands then.", he told Claire.

Then he turned to me.

"Its already 2 right now, so have your lunch, have a bath and select whichever dress you like. I didn't exactly know your taste so I got a couple of gowns but I like that Blue one more.", he said and winked.

Before he turned to leave, he said, while giving me a peck on my cheek, "Take your time, I'll be waiting. I know it'll be worth it".

His words made me blush.

After he left, I quickly had the meal prepared by them and went to take a nice hot shower. Since there was no training today, it felt really good to have such a long nap and take all the time I want for a bath.

Finally after 2 hours of bathing, dressing up and make up, I was ready for the ballroom event downstairs.

Since it was a grand event, I decided to use magic and change my hair colour to a blackish blue shade, just incase, so that my bright blue hair wouldn't give out my real identity.

I looked in the mirror one final time and was happy with my final look.

My look was perfect. It was elegant ans beautiful as well as nothing too lavish to catch anyone's unwanted attention on myself. A perfect Navy Blue Ballgown which matches my hair perfectly.

I grabbed my cell and went downstairs.

The event downstairs was way more grand than I had anticipated. At this point, Seph and I, we both were getting worried because Xander was right, almost the entire Supernatural community's leaders and rulers were here.

I could clearly even recognize a few of them. And out of all the people who had to attend this event, why was Sky - the Vampire Prince and my Ex boyfriend, in the crowd as well!

'Ok code red, Seph. We need to bail out of here. Sky would be able to look through my disguise magic and recognize me. Already ignoring Kathleen and mom's thousands of messages and calls wasn't enough, that Sky had to graciously appear before me! What a great luck I have.', I mindlinked Seph.

'We can't. Look to your right. Xander already spotted us and is bee lining towards us.', Seph replied.

As she said, Xander was indeed on his way to where I was standing and as soon as he saw me looking back, he waved and Damn! Just how handsome he was looking right now. I was completely taking in the view of this absolutely gorgeous man in tuxedos making his way towards me, while a lot of ladies were eyeing my man and trying to stop him and get his attention, whereas he didn't even break our eye contact the entire time.

"Hello Beautiful", Xander spoke, in a deep sexy voice.

Damn, I could feel the rush of hormones already. I so wanna kiss him senseless right now. Feel my hands running through his hair and his hot breath on my lips and.....

He snapped his fingers in front of my face and brought me back to the reality.

He leaned in and whispered in my ear.

"I know what you're thinking and I swear I would love to do a lot more than that but we're in the middle of a ballroom filled with Supernaturals and I so as hell do not want anyone to know my mate's arousal."

I blushed hearing his words and he groaned in my ear.

"You have no idea, how much I always wish to kiss that blush off your face. I guess it just makes it more harder to control myself whenever you blush.", he continued.

I smiled and said, "Well we wouldn't wanna draw too much attention now, do we?"

He held my hand in his and said, "Let's go meet my parents. It's high time, they meet my mate and the future Luna Queen."

I followed him and we walked to where his parents were, speaking with some guests who came to congratulate them.

Once they saw us, his mother excused herself and we went ahead to meet her. His father, had his back towards us, while he was still engaged in a conversation with the previous guest.

Xander introduced us.

"Mom, this is Alexa, my mate and the future Luna Queen", Xander introduced.

He continued, "Alexa, meet my Mother, Queen Aria."

I gave a small bow and outstretched my hand to greet her and said, "Happy Anniversary, it's so nice to meet...-"

Before I could complete my sentence, She hugged me and said, "Finally I get to meet the woman, my son has been talking about."

I was surprised but hugged back.

"He did?", I said.

After tightly hugging me, she released me and said,

" You have no idea just how much he talks about you. At one point, I wanted to leave everything and come back only to meet you. I have so much to talk to you", she replied.

Before she could say anything more about Xander talking all about me, Xander interrupted her, "Ok Mom, I guess she got the gist of it."

Then he turned towards his dad and whispered, "Dad, Alexa is waiting here."

His father quickly thanked the guests for coming and then checked his cell phone, which was buzzing, and replied, " Just a minute. Ah! My Best friend and his family is here too. We'll go, along with your mate and meet them after this."

Xander nodded and then they both turned towards me and he said, "Meet my father Kin-".

I cut him off.

"King Derek!", I exclaimed with shock.

He smiled and said, "Seems like your mate has heard about me, Xander. Funny, I remember you said she didn't know you."

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Dear. But have we met before? I don't know how, but you seem familiar", he continued.

Seph mindlinked me, 'Isn't King Derek, his best friend??'.

Before I could say anything to either of them, King Derek exclaimed with joy, "And guess who arrived at the perfect time."

He went ahead to hug that person. And ushered Xander and Queen Aria ahead.

At this point, I was completely terrified and didn't even realize, King Derek introducing me to his best friend and his family.

Xander came right next to me and nudged me to turn.

I had guessed it right, King Derek's best friend, who was standing right in front of me, was none other than my own Father.

The same man I was running from.
