Chapter 5 Song for this chapter. *MILES* BY SKAN FT SWISHA T It was very unlikely that Abe Grayson would stoop this low, atleast that was what Jackson called it, he saw it as a bad idea talking and wooing a married woman, but ofcourse Abe would listen to no one but himself, it was one of his quirks. Jackson his beta watched him dress up in brown regular clothes, something most factory worker's wore as a normal outfit. This was not the first time Abe was doing this but today's reason didn't sit well with Jackson. "You have got to be kidding me" Abe looked at him. "I need to see her and there's no need for explanations, you know how the bond works" Jack frowned. "This is an interesting concept, so you are just going to go out there without guards, nothing?. I thought you stopped this lone wolf thing, why are you starting it again?. What if someone recognizes you?, Huh?." "You will make sure they don't" Abe answered and tapped him on his shoulders before going out. He arrived at The restaurant Agent Daniels had written as the place Laura usually went during Lunch hours, he waited in his car as his eyes darted towards the street and he watched each and everyone that entered the restaurant. Just Then he spotted her, She was wearing some reading glasses, her hair packed in a ponytail and she wore a yellow flower dress, She was a natural beauty. A smile erupted on Abe's face as he watched her through the glass in the restaurant, make for her sit. After a minute or so he gets out of his car and makes for the Restaurant too. Making sure to sit where she could find him and where he could look at her clearly. After ordering some random food, he is happy that no body recognizes him. He sits and Begins to slowly eat his french fries and burger with a fresh orange juice as he watches her eat a sandwich slowly. "This your idea sucks Abe" Zafron complained "She's not even looking our way" Abe Chuckled. "Be patient Zafron, She is our Mate, Our bond will make her know, she can't resist." Zafron laughed. "Indeed stupid, we are talking about attention here not affection, Let me take control!" Abe's eyes narrowed. "What are you trying to do i***t!" Zafron who was out of a whole amount of patience immediately took control of Abe's hand and propelled him to push the glass of juice down to the floor making it crash. Everyone turned to Abe's direction, The waitress there rushed to clean it up. "I'm so sorry, I was clumsy, I will pay for it.." He was apologizing when he noticed that Laura was staring at him now from her table, He pretended to not see and still didn't shake when she stood and walked over to his table. "You...look like, wait!.... Mr Abe Grayson?" She whispered sitting by his table. He pretended to be surprised by shushing her. "How did you recognize me?" He asked faking a surprise. She laughed. "I don't even know, I must say you look different, why are you here and in this clothes too?" Abe stared at her large brown curious eyes, he wanted to tell her that he was there For her, he had only come to see her, he was in this disguise for her. But how could he utter such words. They were what humans called p*****t-ish. "Ermm.. sometimes I dress up in this kind of clothes and go somewhere to eat alone, far from people's eyes and cameras." She chuckled and asked. "Why?, You have all the luxury that anyone could ask for, Don't you have any friends?" The waitress handed him another glass of Orange juice and he smiled. "Do you want anything?" She shook her head. "No thanks, I have already eaten" He smiled. "Okay well it's a long story..." "Then Make it short Mr Grayson, I'm interested to hear" She blinked. Abe cleared his throat. "Okay this is it... I am the very top of the pyramid. Control is all I am ever used to. When you are Rich, you never really have any friends, From your first wins to your very last you are monitored, There's this flock of Fake people that surround you, They stick with you and respect you or to be precise your money. some might compromise for you, Do things they don't really like doing just because they know the advantage that comes with it. Majority of people live for the Advantage and it doesn't matter if they have to give a fake smile for Ten years or more as long as they get what they want." . He took a sip of his juice and continued. " You know they say Money changes people but I think they forgot to add that Money changes people around you. if you are a person that abides by principles, They will adjust to you. Cause all they care about is the Money, You Don't really have any true friends when you are Rich. You can only buy People and give them the title Of friendship. On very rare cases...only one or two people in your life are real." The cute poker face that Laura gave him was really funny. He felt embarrassed. "I'm so sorry I must be boring you out with..." She placed a palm on his free hand which was on the table. "I am not bored, I'm fascinated," At that moment sparks and a sudden chill went down Abe's spine, he beamed and his lips won't simply come down, for someone that doesn't really smile much he was doing a pretty good job. "Being on top of that pyramid must be lonely, isn't it?" He nodded, "yes, that's the whole idea of the pyramid...Some times I wish to Find some one, someone that could stay by my side. Some one to give love. " As Laura sat there listening to him, she felt really different, For the past two times of seeing Mr Abe she couldn't explain the light feeling in her, it was a deep unspoken and inexpressible happiness, she didn't really know him but at the same time it felt like she had known him her whole life. She laughed inside her, silly me forgetting that I'm married, ogling at every woman's dream man, stupid Laura. This was her mind speaking, she had to come to the annoying realization that she was Married. But deep down she couldn't deny how safe she felt around This billionaire stranger. She began to open too, the topic of friendship turned some switch in her on. "Growing up I never really had any friends, it was either I was too weird for someone or too normal, so I became withdrawn, constantly writting on my diary things I wish happened and things that happened that I wasn't happy about, My Dad was never really helping matters, he wouldn't even look at me and whatever word that came out of his mouth was downgrading. He was into a lot of weird practices and he never told me about it." Abe stared into her eyes with concern, trying to cheer her up he tried telling her an old joke between him and his dad. "Every Father has a flaw, you know what my father used to tell me?He would say; Son...Don't trust anyone, especially me, it would feel so weird" Laura laughed at the joke. "Atleast your Dad seems pretty cool" Satisfied that he made her laugh, he gleefully replied. "Not really, it was after his death that I figured out that he had been lying to me for a very long time or should I say keeping things from me, it really affected me." Laura spoke up. "So sorry for your loss, the news was everywhere, how did he die again?" She asked. "He was murdered.." "May his soul rest in piece.." "Yes, Is your Father alive?" He asked showing a great deal of interest. "No...He killed himself, he ermm had this special office at home which he never let me enter, then on my eighteenth birthday, there was this blast or explosion in the office and that was it, he was there strapped to his chair knife in his chest, burnt to death" It was funny, very funny That Laura had just said all that to a stranger, it was one of the events in her past that she never really spoke off with anybody, she wondered what was wrong with her. Just then a familiar voice was heard. "You never really tell anyone that story.." she looked up at the direction where the voice was heard. Abe who was all the more sorry for his Mate stared at the owner of the voice too. Laura swallowed. "Carlos?"
