"Girl, I can't believe Black mean ass don finally settled down," Trina said as I took the sweet potato pie out of the oven and sat it on the counter so it could cool. "How'd you do it?" She asked looking into space.
It was just Trina and I in the kitchen. Everybody else was either washing up for dinner or taking dishes to the dining room table.
"How many times I gotta tell you, Trina?" I asked. "Black and I aren't together. We're just really cool." I said which made her smack her lips.
"And I don't like men. Lies." She said making me chuckle. She is something else.
"I'm for real though," I said to her.
