Becca's POV:
I searched for any signs of Vincent inside their house. I thought he'd be there and join our fun. Such a lying pr*ck.
While searching for him, I felt like my bladder would blow any second, so I looked for the bathroom instead. I was taking my time peeing when I heard a thud just outside the bathroom.
I got goosebumps when I heard two male voices. I can't hear the exact words they're saying, but I could guess that they're arguing about something.
Minutes had passed, and the voices had come to a halt. I think they're gone already. Who could those guys be? I don't know if it's the two brothers or their workers.
I'm walking through the hall humming some random tunes in my head.
*Splash*
I ran out to the pool thinking that the two guys were playing in the pool. But I was shocked by what I witnessed.
"Oh, my God. Ricci!" I shouted in a panic.
Vincent was just laughing at the side of the pool and Marco was just smiling, calling her name. They have no idea.
I ran as fast as I could and dived into the pool. I swam so fast like I was chased by a shark. I reached for Ricci's once waving hand and pulled her to the side of the pool.
The two guys stopped enjoying the scene as if they realized something.
"Ricci? Ricci, wake up." I called her multiple times and slapped her cheeks lightly.
I checked her breathing and it was not good. I performed CPR on her. That made the two guys worried.
"What's going on? What happened to Ricci?" Marco asked concerned.
"Ricci? Ricci." Vincent called her as well.
Ricci gained consciousness and coughed some water. God. I'm so worried about her.
"Oh, Ricci. I thought aunt Reann would finally kill me." I told her as I hugged her.
"I'm sorry for worrying you, Becca." She responded, then glared at Vincent.
I get it now. This *ssh*le!
"What happened to you?" Vincent asked, as if he had nothing to do with it.
"You mean, what happened is your fault?" I said before Ricci could answer him.
"Do you know what could've happened if I hadn't been there?" I asked Vincent.
He just gave me a strange, confused look.
"She almost died! She can't swim, for God's sake!" I blurted out to their faces.
Vincent's and Marco's faces paled and apologized.
"I'm so sorry Rich, I didn't know." Vincent said, kneeling in front of Ricci and cupping her face.
Why is he cupping her face? Does he already consider her as his little sister-in-law? Awe, so cute. But he still hurt her, so not cute at all.
"Only if I had known, this wouldn't have happened. We're very sorry Ricci." Marco says.
"Yeah, whatever. I'll go change." The only answer Ricci gave.
She then pulled me inside the house and took me to the guest room they lent us.
"Thanks for saving me there, Bec. I really could count on you." Ricci stated with her head hanging low.
She slowly raised her head and I was shocked. She's crying and shaking. She must have endured and stopped herself from shaking earlier to keep them from worrying.
"I was so, so scared." Her voice broke between her words.
I was speechless, so I ended up hugging her. I comforted her as long as she needed it.
It took us more than thirty minutes before she calmed down and decided to let me go out first. I was chatting with the guys about Ricci being unable to swim when she came out with a grim face.
"Got problem?" I asked.
She just handed me her phone and I saw my worst nightmare.
No.
I decided to head home first because of a private matter and let Marco send me home.
Ricciana's POV:
I watched Becca's back halt away. I feel bad for her and what's happening to her family. I hope it'll be alright soon.
I was left here in the pool with Vincent. An awkward silence is in between us.
"I'm sorry." He says out of nowhere.
"What for exactly?" I asked, as if thinking out of the hundreds of mistakes he had made, which one is he sorry for?
"Come on, Rich. I'm sorry for earlier. I have no idea that you can't swim." He begged for my mercy.
"It's nothing. I'm used to your st*p*d pranks." I said, waving my hand, signaling him to distance himself.
"Your face is too close. Go away." I said.
There is too much awkwardness here, so I decided to go to the guest room and fix my things, so I'd be ready to go home once Marco comes back.
I hadn't completely closed the door of the room when a hand made its way through the crack between the door and the doorway.
"What are you doing?" I asked him, crossing my arms.
"We're not done talking yet, Ricciana." He said boredly.
"Dude, go out. I'm going to fix my things. Marco will be back any time soon. He'll send me home once he comes back." I stated, and started fixing my things.
I was about to take my bikini on the floor when Vincent took them first. F*ck.
"What's your problem? Give it back." I said in an annoyed tone.
"Take it yourself. If you can." He smirks and raises his hand, holding the bikini bottom up high.
He's so tall, and I knew I couldn't take it fairly.
"Ouch! Why'd you do that?" He whined, rubbing his abdomen. I just elbowed his stomach.
"You'll get more of it if you don't stop pestering me." I said.
He's so annoying for his age. I can't believe he's five years older than me.
"Fine, but just listen to me." He said.
"What is it?" I asked flatly.
"I like it when you're here. When you're near me." Vincent said.
I looked at him expecting to see a mocking face, but to my surprise he looked serious.
"Are you drunk?" I asked out of nowhere.
"Well, you could say that. I'm crazy drunk and addicted to you." He said and winked.
I couldn't stop myself from huffing in disbelief. What the h*ck is he up to?
"Vincent, listen. You're old, old men ain't my type." I clearly told him, causing him to frown.
Looking at his st*p*d face gave me an idea. This will be my greatest avenging prank.
"Unless." I started.
"Unless?" He seemed so curious.
"Unless you could turn me on in 5 minutes." I challenged him.
He smirked and gladly accepted my challenge by giving me back my bikini bottom that he'd been holding earlier.
"I'll turn you on in less than a minute, sweetie." He says confidently without breaking eye contact with me.
"Let's see about that, uncle." I said, smirking.
