Once upon a time, there was a beautiful young lady. Her name was Valery. She was even more beautiful than the angels in the skies. She had skin white as the snow and lips red as the first spring roses. Oh, how innocent she was! Her family loved her so much and so did her friends. Her life was full of happiness.
Valery was to get married to her fiancé, Salas. Their marriage was held on a sunny summer day. People from all over the kingdom came to give them their best wishes. It was a big celebration and the first step for a happy future life. Both earth and heaven were celebrating the joyful union. But not everyone…
There was a grim angel in heaven who wasn’t happy. All those years, he was secretly watching Valery, desiring to make her his own bride. He felt so jealous of her happiness, he didn’t want her to belong to anyone if she couldn’t belong to him. So he decided to destroy her love.
He plotted an evil plan. He would take Salas far away, so Valery would never see him again. When the young couple got in the boat for their honeymoon, the angel found the perfect chance to get rid of Salas’ existence forever. While the boat was floating in the middle of the sea, he blew a strong wind and threw the young man out of it.
Valery, in great shock, tried to give him her hand but she couldn’t reach him. The wind was so strong that she could not even move. The boat overturned and enormous waves arose. They wrapped Salas and dragged him down to the bottom. She began to scream out loud for help, but no one could hear her. She was all alone in the middle of nowhere. Somehow, she took a brave decision. She put off her wedding dress and dived into the sea in order to save her fiancé. She began to swim with all the strength left in her and searched for him among the strong waves. He was nowhere to be seen…
Her only hope now was to wait for the sea creatures to drive her at her lover. Suddenly, she went unconscious and everything faded to black.
When she woke up, she was on the desert ground. On the horizon, she could see the soft light of dawn. She had no idea where she was. She was somewhere that seemed like an island, with a small dark cave near her. She tried to move, but her whole body was in pain. She didn’t give up, she stood up and walk towards the cave. There was something inside that drove her there, almost luring her steps. Something invisible, that could only be felt. Somehow, the young lady walked and got inside that mystical cave.
In the middle of the rocks and sultry atmospheres played a wooden chest of a heaven’s treasure. It was a magical violin… Valery was overwhelmed with emotions. She remembered her childhood years when her father had gifted her a small violin. What a sweet memory! She used to spend many hours playing in her room, but one day her parents took it from her. She had to focus on her studies. Above all, she ought to be a good student and a gentle lady. The little girl grew up and totally forgot about her lovely violin. Now, she thought that it would be a great chance if she began to play again until someone finds her and helps her search for her lost love. She wondered if he was still alive if he was able to swim and save himself. She missed him so much…
She decided to play an old memory’s melody in order to forget her grief. She took it in her hands and stood at the entrance because she wanted to play for her lost love… When she put the bow on the strings and played the first notes, something weird happened. In the corner of her mind, she heard a strange voice: “Play and I will give you what you desire the most in the whole world”. At that moment, Salas’ eyes came to Valery’s mind and heart. What she desired the most was him and him only. She wanted him back! She closed her eyes and started playing to the seals with her lover’s image in her thoughts.
A few seconds later, when she opened her eyes again, she saw a beautiful man coming towards her. She couldn’t recognize his face because he was quite far, she just had this weird feeling of knowing him very well. As the man walked closer and closer, Valery could clearly see her lover’s face. Yes, it was him! It was Salas! Then, they still surprised Valery, left the violin on the ground, and run into his arms. She holds his head in her hands and kissed him. After that kiss, everything changed…
When she pulled back, the man hadn’t Salas looks anymore. He was a stranger. “You deceived me”, she cried and felt a wave of rage. The anger gushed inside from her and for the first time she was willing to kill. The stranger, the man who took her fiancé’s place, must be punished. She took a string from her violin and tightened it around his neck… Now, all she wanted was to keep on playing the violin again and again until the time that her real love would come.
It’s been a long time since her first victim… The young lady lost her mind when the violin turned her into an evil creature, thirsty for killing. The story with the unknown man continued for a very long time…always with the same scenario. She insisted that must kill a lot of men till a day that Salas would return. That’s happened somehow…
Every day when she woke up from her sleep, she would take the cursed violin and begin to play, standing in front of the cave. When a ship would sail near the island and the crew would listen to her violin music, they would become charmed and full of desire to meet her. In just a short period of time, so many murders occurred in that sea. She had killed ninety-nine men.
She was on to her the hundredth kill when something really unexpected happened. This time, after kissing her newest victim, the man didn’t lose Sala’s form as usual. Her lover’s face remained firmly in front of her, staring into her eyes:
“This time, it’s truly me”, he said. Valery could not believe what she just heard. It was really him!
“How is this possible?” she asked shocked. He only smiled at her and kissed her lips again.
“Don’t worry my love, you are safe with me, now you are my bride”
He held her in his arms, he wrapped his devilish wings around her and fled back to his kingdom, in Hell… Now, Valery was his own…
