KATY’S POV
The driver maneuvered the car smoothly as we left the airport, the other vehicle trailing closely behind. I resisted the urge to take in the sights of the city outside, determined not to give Dario the satisfaction of seeing any excitement or intrigue on my face. Instead, I kept my gaze fixed straight ahead, staring at nothing in particular, though I could feel his eyes on me.
His gaze made my skin crawl, and I shifted uncomfortably in my seat, hoping he’d take the hint. But Dario was never one to back down easily.
Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed his attention drift downward, and I immediately stiffened. He was staring at my cleavage, though I was barely showing anything. Annoyed, I adjusted my dress subtly, ensuring nothing inappropriate was on display.
