-Eri Sunville-
The drive back home was silence filled.
When I'd told Suzy I was going back home after 4 hours of staying with her, she felt bad saying the hospital was very boring and she didn't like staying there alone, so I had to promise to visit again tomorrow.
Staying in the car alone with Don now felt discomforting after the weird thing he'd done.
I mean what was that for?
I had woken up when he'd first touched me, but didn't want to open my eyes so he wouldn't have been caught off guard, expecting him to stop.
But then he didn't seem to be planning on leaving my hair anytime soon and his touch was doing things to my stomach I couldn't explain.
So I had to let him know, not sure what to say about it, especially since he didn't reply and hadn't said a word about it afterwards.
Finally, we were home.
A man I assumed to be the bodyguard opened the door for us and I got out first before Don followed.
My gaze caught sight of a red car parked in the compound.
I assumed it was going to be another of Don's car but it was weird since he only had black cars, I'd not seen any other car color.
He didn't seem to notice the car because he just walked into the house so I just followed with Hane trailing behind us.
Once inside, I noticed a man sitting on the sofa, his back turned to us, while he watched a movie on the TV.
"Darien? Why are you here pal?" Don asked in his usual stern tone but from the way he addressed the man who now turned to our direction, I was sure they were friends.
"Hey Don." The guy I now knew to be Darien stood up.
He was undeniably handsome with the smooth chocolate skin be possessed.
His biceps threatened to pop out of the grey shirt he wore.
And the nicely cut black curly hair gave him an even hotter look.
A smile was planted on his face as he started towards us, stopping to give Don a hug. "What's up pal?"
Don returned the hug which lasted for about a second, before Darien turned to me.
"You must be Eri," his smile stood unwavering, "hi, I'm Darien, your husband's childhood friend."
He stretched out his hand for a handshake which I accepted, before he leaned closer to whisper; "I know he can be a handful but just try managing him."
"I heard you." Don said with a roll of eyes. "Why are you here?"
"I'm sorry I couldn't attend your wedding," he apologized, "as you know, I had a lot to do in Australia.
"Well, I got back yesterday night and decided to check up on my best pal."
He turned to me, with a nice smile on, "you didn't tell me she was this beautiful."
I was startled when Don grabbed my hand, pulling me closer to him, his brows creased to a deep frown. "Guy, she's my wife, don't forget."
I was caught by surprise, unable to peel my gaze off him.
Darien chuckled, raising his arms to the air in surrender, "I was just complimenting her, you don't have to be such a protective husband."
"Shut up." He let go of me, probably realizing what he was doing.
"I'm exhausted, let's go talk in my room."
They both started walking away leaving a baffled me to stare at them leave.
What was that about? We've just been married for 3 days, what's wrong with him?
"You should have some rest too." Hane's voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Yeah, you too."

The knock from the door startled me.
It wasn't like I was doing anything bad, I was just trying to paint my toe nails, but I'd stained the paints on my toes because of the knock.
"Come in," I made an effort to not let the annoyance from the paint evident in my tone.
The door opened, as Hane and another maid walked in.
I raised a brow in confusion, "is everything alright?"
"Oh, I'm just here to check up on you, I have no idea why she's here." Hane quickly clarified.
"Mr Jones is calling you," the maid explained, "he's in his office."
"Oh okay. I'll be there in a jiffy." I told the maid who simply nodded, before heading out.
I'd been married to him for a whole boring 5 days, but tried to not make it boring by visiting Suzy with Rose every day.
It was even more boring considering the fact I'd not seen him in a whole 2 days (not that I missed him).
He'd been locked up with whatever work he did in his office, not caring to even ask a thing about me.
It was surprising he even wanted to see me.
Rising to my feet, I was about to leave the room when Hane stopped me by gently pulling my arm, "you don't plan on going out dressed like that, do you?"
It was after she said it I realized I was still in a robe. "Oh, I forgot."
She chuckled, releasing me while I went to my closet, opening it to reveal series of expensive and beautiful clothes.
Yep, that's my life now.
Picking out a sky blue spaghetti handle shirt with a black jean trouser, I threw it on then left my hair to fall like waves on my back.
Certain I looked better, I headed out of the room sauntering to Don's office, whose door I gave a gentle knock.
"Come in." His voice wasn't stern, so I assumed that was a good start.
Opening the door, I filed in, closing it behind me.
His office was huge, almost like the one at work.
I was awed at it's beauty, especially the obviously expensive paintings on the wall of the building,
It was surprising sf first because I had no idea he liked paintings.
"Do you like it that much?" My love for it must have been evident in my expression because Don asked.
"Oh," I turned to see him sitting on the office chair, his laptop on the table in front of him.
He wasn't staring or typing on the laptop, his gaze was fixed on mine.
"You called for me." That was a way of calming the weird effect his gaze was having on me.
"Oh yes, have a seat."
I heeded, moving to sit on the sofa he'd gestured for me to sit on.
Soon, he came to join me, sitting beside me but leaving a comfortable gap between us.
"We've been married for 5 days." Why was he saying that? Of course I knew that.
"Yes."
"My mom called few minutes ago, she said we need to not make the media any more suspicious about our marriage, and I don't want that to, it might affect my stocks who knows?"
I squinted my eyes at him, trying to get his point. "Okay?"
"What I'm trying to say is we'll be going on our honeymoon."
What?!
