Don Jones- I wasn't sure if knowing I was getting married today was supposed to make me happy or not. It was definitely going to increase my stocks as joining hands with the Silvers international was a big deal. This was certainly a good idea. The wedding was not until 2 p.m And although it was just 8 a.m, we were all in the hall and I'd already been dressed for. I stared at myself once more in the mirror, not surprised to see the stunning man clad in a black custom-made tailored tuxedo I had on. My hair had been greased to the back which I would admit suit me a lot. My phone pinged with a message from Darien, a childhood friend. Darien- Congrats man, so sad I can't be your groomsman. Wish I was there, but once again, congrats. Before I could reply, a knock came from the door. “Come in.” The door opened, revealing Miss Eri who looked stunning. I don't think I've ever seen her this beautiful before. She was dressed in a red knee length gown that accentuated off her curves. Her hair was left to fall beautifully over her shoulders, popping up her round face which had little makeup on. But her natural self was enough to make a man drool. I didn't let any of this admiration evident in my face by just staring blankly at her. A smile appeared on her lips, “it's your wedding today sir, congratulations.” Normally I would ignore such comments, but I found myself saying, “thank you.” The sound of my ringtone echoed in the room, with mom's name appearing on the screen. Assuming she wanted to start her congratulations and all, I answered the call, placing it close to my ear. “Yes mom.” “Don,” her worried tone alarmed me a little. Enough to make me pull my brows together. An action that wrinkled my forehead. “What's wrong?” “June's no where to be seen, it seems like she's ran away from her wedding.” What! How could she? “I'll come meet you?” I hung up, bolting out of the room I was in, ignoring Miss Eri's confused and worried expression My feet dashed towards where I was certain mom would be. I should have known when she called yesterday disturbing me at work. She was crying that she loves me but can't live a loveless marriage. I should have suspected then that she was going to do something this stupid. What was wrong with this girl? On the wedding day? What can we do? Everyone's been looking forward to see who miss anonymous is so it'd be something for the media to talk about if we postponed or cancelled the wedding. Gosh this girl's stupid. I pushed the door open to where everyone sat worried, my parents, Violin, even June's parents. My dad was making a call, probably asking someone to look for her. June's mom, Lucy was crying and being comforted by her Personal Assistant. Her dad, Rhys was also making a call. Violin seemed to be dialling June's number while my mom looked stressed out. They all turned their attention to me when I walked in. “What do you mean she's left? What the heck is her problem?” “My baby, I don't know where she could be in such dangerous world.” Lucy said dramatically. “This is so bad,” dad had ended his call. “What would happen? We've stirred the public interest, now everyone's waiting for Miss anonymous and we have no one to bring to them.” “This would be very terrible for the company.” He added, earning a death glare from Lucy. “Do you seriously only care about your company?” She stood up, eyes bloodshot. “My daughter is out there, no one knows where she is or what she's doing, even her personal assistant is not answering our calls and you're only thinking about the stupid company.” “Calm down,” Rhys walked up to her, rubbing her shoulders and ending his call. I had no time for this drama. Dad was obviously right. This would be very terrible for the stocks. “What do we do?” Mom looked so worn out, I'd have felt bad for her if the situation wasn't already occupying my mind. “We can't call off the wedding at the dine minute neither can we offer any bride, this is not good at all," she pointed out what everyone had obviously been thinking. “Try her number again.” Dad told Violin who immediately complied. “Are you sure she ran away?” I had to ask Maybe she was kidn*pped or something, even worse, maybe she committed suicide. Oh no, she did sound really sad yesterday. I doubted it. June had always been a girl who loves life. She can't leave because of a man. She always said people who killed themselves for a guy were bee-brained. “Yes," mom replied, “she left a note saying she was sorry but can't live a loveless marriage.” Shit! I ran a frustrated hand through my hair. What the heck was wrong with this stupid girl. Now what do I do. “She even left her phone and other device so we won't trace her, the only person she took with her was Jenny, her personal assistant.” Lucy was sobbing more. “My baby.” Her sobbing was only infuriating me more. I wanted to shout at her to shut the f**k up. Everyone was literally tensed, we couldn't cancel the wedding, that'd be terrible, neither can we look for a bride at the last minute. Or, can we? An idea popped in my head, it wasn't stupid. What do I have to lose? Nothing, absolutely nothing. In fact I'd be losing a lot if I don't go with my plan. Without waiting to change my mind by waiting too long, I rushed out of the room, completely ignoring the shouts of my name. This was the only chance I had, I couldn't let it go. My feet scurried quickly till I got to the room. Without thinking, I threw the door open and luckily for me, she was standing in front of the mirror, probably observing her beauty. I knew I was supposed to give this a little more thinking, but I let it come out either way, again what could I lose. “Miss Eri,” her widened eyes expressed her surprise. She had probably not expected me to come in like that. “Let's get married.”
