The grey city changed while they slept. One moment Sari was standing on the familiar street. The next, the street was gone, replaced by walls. High walls, grey and windowless. No doors. No openings. Just stone and silence. She turned in a circle. The walls stretched in every direction. She had never been here before. “Adrian?” Her voice came out small, muffled. The sound died inches from her lips. “Adrian!” Nothing. She walked. The corridor curved left, then right, then opened into a small chamber. Empty. Another corridor led out. She followed it.
