The grey city had changed again. Sari noticed it the moment the dream took her—the air was clearer, the light softer, the edges of the buildings less sharp. The fog had pulled back so far it was barely a smudge on the horizon, and for the first time, she could see the sky. Pale blue, almost white. He was waiting for her at the center of the empty street.
