Mishra intended to have a good time even though she had come there to work. Clearing the alcohol from his system was very important because she didn't want him passing out on her. John was surprised to be sober after his shower. He thought it was the food, and she let him believe that. He stepped out of the shower to see that Mishra had set the tone for the occasion. He figured she might be a wealthy woman that was lonely and required some company. John thanked his lucky stars for bringing her his way and making her choose him. He was not the best-looking in the place, but maybe she had a thing for rough-looking men that looked like they were on their last lap.
