"Will I die mom?" His tender voice asked as she wrapped his hand and kissed it. The holster machine beeps slowly as the child exhales. The florescent lights were mild on his face. He was fixed on oxygen, barely breathing. Nonetheless, he felt enclosed and her presence gives him a glimpse of hope, that everything would be fine. Tears were in her eyes as she glanced at the nurse beside the weak child. The nurse was holding a paper on a notepad. Something for her to sign. "No sweetie, mom will save you" she assured kissing him on the forehead. The child let a wry smile at this perturbed mother of his. He didn't know if it were the right time to say such a word but his time was almost up. "Mom, will I ever get to know him?" The nurse handed his mother the paper with a pen for her to sign on it "Who?" She curiously asked signing the paper as he sits upright gently. His delicate eyes gaze at her. "Dad, I've been having visions of him and... he's coming for me" The pen in her hand fell off to the ground as she wasn't expecting he says those words. "What! How many times do I have to bring this up? He doesn't exist! He abandoned us!" She brawls terrified as her body shook for fear. He was pertrified as the word 'dad' she always wroths like the word was forbidden. "But mom..." "shut up Denver! Not another word about that subject" she barks breathing hard as he curl himself on the bed, attempting not to weep. The nurse had to sit on the bed with the child, cuddle him and beckons on his mother to stop terrifying him. "I can't stop the vision, it keeps coming" he murmured sadly and buried his head on the nurse shoulder. His mother swallows hard as she angrily walks out of the ward, trying to keep calm. His eyes watches as his mother left him behind. She slams the door and lean her back on the door, her body quakes and painful memories lurks in her head. She began to sober as she rubbed her arms, feeling sad and depressed. Fear crept into her while tears rolled down her cheeks. "You're dead, stay away from the kid, he's my child" her lips whispers as she fell limply in a squatting position, buried her head in her thighs and weeps. Meanwhile, a doctor passing by found her at that position and drew closer. He was curious as she was meant to be warming up for the big announcement she'd make soon. He tapped her and called; "Doctor visenna?" She raised her head and gulps hard at the sight of him. Visenna quickly tried to hide her tears which keeping a stern gaze at him. He didn't want to ask what the problem was as it was obvious, her son who is a part of her life would soon leave her. She had been searching a means to resolve the problem despite her wealth, power and influence, there's been no solution. He folded his lips and pulled his hands from his pockets. Although, there were worries on his eyes for her and he wishes to bear her burden too. "It's almost time for the announcement" he reminded stretching his hand for her to grab. He aided her to stand on her feet as she seems weak, pale and weary. "Why don't we grab a cup of coffee" he added and she accepted because she truly needed to get off the queer feeling she was having. He walked her to a cafe, there they sat and placed their order which was given to them. "I'm sorry you find me this way" she apologized and he let out a sad smile. "It's okay, any mother would be sad to realize their child has 6 months left to live" Her heartbeats slowly at his statement as she held back her tears. She grabbed her mug of coffee and then took a sip. Visenna contemplates if it were the right time to say this. However, this doctor was her therapist who had stayed by her for 5 years, helping her heal through. He knows almost everything about her and they work in the same field. "Adrian, how do I stop him? He keeps seeing vision of peris and says he's coming" she began, tensed and startled. Her eyes gazed around as though scared if the name she mentioned was right in front of her. Adrian lowers his eyes at the mug in front of him. He felt sad hearing that. That must be part of her worries too. However, what makes him depressed was the fact that this woman might never be his. He scoffed unbelievably as visenna anticipated for a reply. Her probing eyes on him made him mousey as he clears his throat to explain. "What do you think? Do you still love him?" He asked staring at the sizzling smoke from his mug. Adrian had a serious look and then shifted his gaze her. Her response would give him the answer he needed. Visenna grimanced at this man who searches her waivering eyes. Her unsteady gaze gave him the answer he needed. "He's dead Adrian and his ghost must be taunting my son! I need to stop that! There must be something done" She utters worried and unsettled where she sat. He sensed she was diverting from the initial question but nevertheless, he still has to give her a response. Adrian hadn't touched his coffee as he needed to attend to her puzzling question. "He's coming back, you feel it through his mark but try so hard to hide it" he announced rolling his eyes to her neck and she gulps hard. "That's a lie!" She rebukes attempting not to raise her voice. He shrugged his shoulders and gulps a mouthful of coffee. "Then explain why you're resigning?" He asked calmly trying not to be annoyed by her reply. She became speechless, shaken to her knees and wincing as her heartbeat stops for a moment. He darken his gaze at her hands which had told her off. He smirked again and pressed on. "It's obvious visenna, you want to find him and ask that one puzzling question" "What else are you still hiding about that alpha?" He pressed onand as she was about to respond to him, an intern walks up to her. He exchanged gestures to the two renowned doctors before him and then proclaims; "It's time, doctor visenna" Adrian and visenna stared at themselves intensively.
