Chapter 42: Fight!

The scorching sun was hitting the three guys. Their sweats trickled down every step they take. Running 5 laps on the training grounds made them super tired. But the watchful eyes of the criosphinx above them were making them afraid. Suddenly, Neveah’s screeching scream was heard from a distance that they can’t help to panned their heads from her direction. Timoteo was holding him on her ankles while spinning her around and then letting go of her. She hit the ground with a thud.

The three guys took a break and watch in bewilderment at the scene, “What the hell are they doing?” Lucas said. Kion landed beside them and laugh at their reaction, “Teo’s teaching her how to get used to falling,” The three guys tilted their heads at what he said, ‘Is that necessary?’

Neveah groaned in the ground, being thrown on the ground several times made her darn tired. Good thing that the location they were in was grass, if it’s cemented her face will no longer be there, “Why are we doing this?” She said sitting up. Her clothes were now dirty.

“You wanted to get strong right?” He looked up at Teo’s head in his hand. Every time she stares at the Headless creature she can’t help but cringe in disgust because of the very peculiar appearance but no matter how Teo looks like a monster he had a nice personality that you can't hate. Neveah sat on the ground recalling what happen past moments ago,

“Did you forget silly?” They stared a the laughing head. Still disturb. “You wanted to train and enhance the control of your fighting abilities and your new accumulated power,” The head grinned looking at the trio, “I’m here to help you out!”

“ My Names Timoteo! Nice to meet ya!”

They stared at the hands that were offered to them and then Neveah received and shakes it also greeting him, “Neveah,” He then glance at two guys on her left, “This is Larcade and Lucas,” She said and then he panned his head to the other side, “ I bet you know who this guy is,” Neveah said. Teo nods confirming what she said.

After their greeting, they’d waste no time and immediately started to train. Damian lead Larcade and Lucas while Neveah wanted to stay on Teo. The headless creature was happy and become boastful of his skill but Neveah couldn’t care less.

“So, you want to get stronger?” Teo said while putting his other hand on his hands on his waist. Neveah stood in front of her under the tree shade. She was looking down on Teo’s head. “But, I heard from the short guy that you are able to inflict or was able to hurt some human enhancements?” Teo said with one of his brows raised. Neveah then remembers the fight with Lucas to defeat Alex.

“That was different, if not for Lucas we would never ever take on that guy,” Neveah lowers her head. All along that she even went out on this journey is to protect his cousin. But on how many times she always said that her expectations would be destroyed by her reality. And, she realized that Larcade was the one protecting him all along with Lucas and Damian. They have powers that they can rely on upon defeating a supernatural opponent and Neveah was tired of just like that nothing to do and just be a burden, “I want to get more stronger,” She said with determination on her face,

“Yeah, I did but I can’t help it when all of the time that we used, you’ve been spinning and throwing me around!” Neveah complained. She stood up and dust her clothes, “That’s part of the training, my dear!” Teo said with enthusiast. ‘He’s the only one who’s excited,’

“I just want to be helpful. That I can be able to beat My cousin’s enemy. I can even give up to be a human just to protect him,” Neveah's eyes lock into Teo’s black ones. The creature can feel his pleas on the brown eyes of the girl. “Dear, are you really sure?” Neveah stopped at his question.

“Giving up something that you held on to for so long isn’t that easy, especially the identity of you as a human,” Teo said with sincere laced on his voice. He was surprised to see the lengths the girl would go through just to protect his relative. He wonders what happened in the past to have such determination. “I understand your frustration but you should not be reckless on such a decision. ” Teo started to walk around the train. Neveah followed her instructor as she listens intently.

“ A chance would eventually appear and maybe it's looking at you. Patience is never easy my child, I know how hard it is to wait. But because it took so long doesn't mean it won’t come to you,” Teo stated that making Neveah smile, “ Don’t give up on something that is precious to you. If you can’t find any answer on any of the choices then do it your own way, think outside the box!” Teo grinned widely.

“What if my whole life is a triangle?” Neveah threw an unexpected question to Teo that made him slightly flinched, looking dumb-founded, “That’s beside the point,” He said as he panned his eyes in another direction. Neveah felt eased at the creature’s advice. ‘He’s right, I can’t be reckless,’

Suddenly a fire blasted in their direction. Bot, Neveah, and Teo halted. Their feet were frozen at the ground. They sighed when they realized that it almost got them. They slowly panned their heads to where it came from. And they saw Damian hitting Lucas in the head while the said man was posing like some action hero with a slight fire on his palms, “You Dumbass!” Damian’s voice was loud. Larcade was behind the two struggling to keep Damian calm and was too afraid to interfere. Neveah and Teo look at them with dead eyes, ‘we almost get toast,' They thought at the same time.

Meanwhile, Arash was still hovering in the white chalice. Giving all his might to pinpoint the elemntia. You ask why did he only do it now? Because seeing Damian again gives him hope. And, because if he does this a long time ago he would be feeling afraid to dismay his people. But, even if he does find the elemntia long time no one would be able to take it back. Kion was the only one can go outside but both Arash and the criosphinx knew that he was no match for the fallen. Kion might be strong but facing head-on such many powerful much stronger than him would be a total suicide. Their efforts would eventually go to waste

Suddenly a green light flashed on a once-white chalice. Arash opened his eyes and saw a faint imagine slowly clearing up in the water. Arash widened his eyes, staring intently at the water. He never wants to miss the chance to observe and analyze what was coming up in the water. Suddenly the image has gotten clearer,

“ Eight,” He muttered under his breath when he saw a black ball with a visible number ‘8’on it. Then the image started to change, tons of gold coins were shown. Arash tilted his head while squinting his eyes “Gold?” He then widens it back again as he sees it changes to another image. A man with a suit was going out of some door. His black waistcoat and a tray in his hands was indicating that he was some kind of a worker. “Human?” But when it panned to that guy’s face his jaw drop immediately.

His face was something he can familiarize, “Damian?” He can’t help but utter the word of his friend.

“No, it can't be--” But then he noticed the color of his irises, purple. He then felt relieved but quickly went to bewilderment. ‘How come this guy has the same appearance as Damian?’ He thought while watching how the guy in the image was conversing with someone. The scene changes back again. This time it shows scarlet-colored chairs, golden pillars, slot machines. The last scene was on something like a huge sign.

“Well done boys and girls. Handsome and Beautiful. Now time to entertain!” A tall woman with a skin-tight navy dress exclaimed in an excited manner. Her black gloves on her hands were making her more elegant. And, his peculiar Scarlet hair was a mesmerizing sight to see. Eve, Lyn, Ava, Naki, Alexander, and last but not the least, Loki answered her with enthusiasm as they head out to the big door revealing tons of high-class people playing cards, slot machines, and other kinds of entertainment. A big sign was visible at the entrance.
