Drstan clicked on their front door. When he steps inside he hears his wife yelling. “ LUCAS! I TOLD YOU TO STAY PUT!” His wife’s voice resonated throughout the entire house and his younger so, jolted awake and started crying. “Hon?” He called out as he approached Claude’s crib and carried him in his arms. Drystan walked into the kitchen and witnessed his wife shouting at his firstborn son. “Lucas!” Drystan called out. Young Lucas snapped his head and ran to his father and embraced his legs. His wife widened her eyes as it met her husband's shocked ones. “What are you doing?” He said in bewilderment. She shook her head and slid her finger through her. “No-I was just,” She stopped herself when she saw Lucas hiding behind his father.
“Lucas, baby, I’m sorry,” She knelt and raised her arms. Her expression was broken and Drystan was in pain to see it. “Lucas,” She said in a gentle way. The young kid peeked into his father’s legs before going back in. “Forgive mommy,” She cried out and it broke both, Father and son’s hearts. “Lucas, can you talk to mom?” Drystan asked in a gentle voice. Lucas came out of hiding and dashed to his mother. He slides in on her arms and they embrace in a tight warm hug. “Mommy is sorry,” She whispered into his son’s ear and then kissed her temple. “I’m sorry,” She said, her voice cracking. Lucas raised her hands and placed them carefully on his mother’s cheeks. “I’m sorry that I was a bad boy. I promise not to go out and play again,” Lucas said and the woman in front of him broke into tears. She was feeling a pang of extreme guilt that her action resulted for her son to be cautious and said his statement.
It was night time and the Eastwood couple were in their room. Drystan saw his wife sitting at the edge of the bed clutching something. “Deniera,” Drsytan called out to her and the said woman was staring into space that he didn't notice her husband. Drystan was now extremely worried for his wife. Drystan carefully placed his hands on her shoulders and Deneira flinched at this. Denira snapped and turned her head forcefully with furrowed brows and gritted teeth only to see his husband’s shocked expression. Deneira regained herself and cleared her throat. “Oh, honey, it was you.” She said. Drystan sat down beside her and was about to touch her hands but she moved it away. “Deneira, is something wrong?” He said but Denira averted her head. ‘There is something wrong,’ Drystan gulped. “ Can you tell me?” He attempted again. Hoping that his wife would give in and tell him what’s happening to her. His wife furrowed her brows on hearing Drystan’s voice.
“ Deneira. I am worried,” He said. “Your acting weird lately, your appearance look like you haven’t slept for days and you’ve been sensitive.” He continued. “If you can’t tell me at least promise me that you won’t left us behind,” He said his voice desperate, “ We are family, Deniers and we go together through thick and thin,” Drystan said even though he was talking on his Wife’s back. He was hell-bent to let her understand that he was always there. “Drystan,” Deneira turned to his husband and embraced him.Drystan stumbled but quickly regained his balance and hugged his wife. He petted his wife’s raven hair and hummed a song for her to calm down. Moments later, Deneira knocked on his son’s door. Lucas, who was tucked in bed, looked at his door to reveal his mother. Denira smiled at him and sat on the edge of Lucas’s bed. “Mommy?” Lucas called out to her and Deniera hummed in response.
“I’m sorry that I made you mad,” Lucas said in his tiny voice. Deniers frown at this, “No, sweetheart, It’s not your fault. I was the one who was on edge.” She said as she touched her son’s arms. “You can always go play outside and meet some friends, Mommy is fine with that.” Denira said as she caressed young Lucas’s hands. “I don’t want you to feel that you;re walking on eggshells, Lucas. You are my son and I would do anything to make you happy,” Deneira said as she leaned and kissed her son’s forehead. Lucas smiled at this and embraced her mother. Deneira responds with a warm hug, ignoring the dark apparition standing in front of her. “ Whatever it takes,” She whispered. Lucas looks at her mother and Deneira looks down at him, “Do you want me to sing you a lullaby?” She asked and Lucas immediately said no and tucked himself back in the bed anticipating her mother’s song. Denira chuckled at her son;s behavior. Deneira also lay down and hugged her son. She then cleared her throat and pet his son’s locks. She then started singing,
Heaven, heaven, My own heaven
In the dark, In the dark turns into night
The wind blows and touches my skins
All my love, All my love, you should always bring
Deneira looked at her son who was sleeping so soundly and she smiled at the peaceful sight. “I love you,” She whispered. And suddenly the apparition appeared again. “McGarden,” It says but Deneira ignores it. “Don’t forget your mission,” It’s dark voice made Deniera frown and glared at the creature. “Silence,” She hissed and his eyes glowed vibrant yellow. Red aura surrounds the room but she was careful not to wake up her son.
Later on that day, the skies were rumbling, a gray colored tone painted the clouds. Rain splatters on the pavement. Lucas sat in their living room. His brother is sleeping again so soundly. Their television was playing some cartoon animation and Lucas was drinking his strawberry milk. Suddenly a loud bang on the door was heard and Lucas sat up and saw her mother soaking wet. His mother’s appearance was terrifying that he froze in his spot. “Mom?” He took up his courage and called out her mom. Her mom snapped her head at him and Lucas was so scared at her mother’s face. Red thing that seemed like scales swallowed half of her left face and her left eye glowed in a vibrant purple. Lucas loses his hand on the cartoon of his drink and it fell down to the floor. The milk splattered everywhere. “Mom?”
