Neveah walked around the nearby plaza. Ivory-colored tiles that spread around and a big fountain was placed in the center of the plaza. Many staples surround the plaza as they sell from accessories to street food. Although, some stalls were not opened yet since it was still noon. Neveah’s eyes sparkle at the sight. She took out her phone and took dozen of pictures. She plans to upload it on her social media to let her friends know and maybe get them jealous since she was in the largest city in their country. Neveah then approached the fountain and noticed the figurines that were on it. Seven angels were the designs of the fountain.
Each of them was on different appearances. Some are tall, some are buff and some are petite. Neveah stared at the statues. Until someone splashed him with the water. She screeched at the cold contact. She looks around to find a child playing with the fountain water. Neveah looked at with narrow eyes. ‘Calm your beautiful self, Neveah. Kids do not deserve to be punched they are still innocent.’ She thought while closing her eyes. She exhaled and inhaled in a smooth manner but it was interrupted by the same kid again. This time Neveah could not take it in, “Hey damn brat! Can’t you see you’re splashing water and making everyone wet!” She said in a whispering manner to the kid. She held the boy’s hands to stop him from doing anything. The boy stared at him with teary-eyed, “Because older sis looks so pretty that I thought she was a mermaid. Mermaid should be in the water,” The kid said in a low voice. Neveah freeze at what he said but quickly regained her composure. “Is that so?” Neveah said while giving the kid an eye smile. Something about her flatter at the kid’s words. “Okay, now. I forgive you. Run along, now.” Neveah said while letting go of the kid’s hands.
The kid run away but before he could be far away from Neveah the kid turned back and said, “I was just joking. You look like a sunfish!” He shouted and then quickly dashed. Neveah was unable to process what he said. ‘Sunfish?’ She stood there, unmoving. “SUNFISH?!” She shouted that causing everyone in the plaza stared at her. “Wow, you really are unlucky when it comes to meeting new people. And, here I thought kid never lies.” A familiar voice said behind her. She snapped her head and saw Lucas with a smug look. Neveah looks at him unamused at the sudden appearance of her friend. “Children are gremlins. I’m going to make that kid a skewer if I see him again.” She said while looking away. Lucas laughed at her statement. “Why are you following me? Damian said to split up.” She said while walking in the direction of a random stall that sells accessories. “Yeah, but I immediately got bored.” He shrugged and Neveah shook her head. Suddenly, Lucas heard shouting not far from them. He panned his head and saw a group of high schoolers goofing around in the plaza. He stared at them without saying a word.
“ Hey, Lucas. is this hair dress looks good on me?” Neveah asked the guy beside her while putting on the hair dress that looks like a flower and that was as big as her head. Neveah turned to look at her friend but clocked her tongue when the said guys did not even pay attention to her. Neveah Stepped on his foot that made Lucas yelp. “What the hell?! What was that for?!” He shouted while grabbing onto his injured leg. Neveah smiled. “Focus on me when I’m focusing on myself. Anyways, does this hairdresser looks good on me?” She then asked again and put the hair dress again on her head while batting her eyes. “You look like a donkey,” He commented that earning a second step on his other foot. He yelps again.
“Mmm~ The sounds of painful screeches coming from my dear gorilla friend.” She said in a mocking voice and Lucas glared at her. Neveah then looks through the products again before going to another store. “Looking at them reminds me of our high school days,” Lucas blurted out that making Neveah stop. “What?” Lucas pointed to the group of students playing and laughing together. “We do not do that. And for your information, You were a delinquent. You beat people up without any reason like a rampaging gorilla,” She said this made Lucas sulk. “Please don’t let me remind me of those times.” He said while covering his ears. “But I’m still glad tho. I got to beat up Mark into a pulp.” She said with a grin that made Lucas also copy it. “Yeah, he was an absolute a-hole,” Lucas commented and somehow without thinking remembers the time when he spent almost his entire high school life on being Mark’s obedient puppy. "That's rich coming from you, @sshole," Neveah commented, earning a smack on the back from Lucas.+ “I wonder where could that guy be. The school expelled him when we told the truth about his bullying.” Neveah said. “You’re really a difficult opponent. How’d you even do that tho? Mark’s family is loaded.” Lucas said while trailing behind her.
“We also got some money in our hands.” She said while smirking as he rubbed both her fingers. Lucas rolled his eyes because of this. “ I also wonder where could he be?” Lucas said. “Who? Mark?” Neveah scan some of the products an old lady had. “Axel.” The name that come from Lucas’s mouth made Neveah freeze in the spot. It’s been years since they never heard of that name or seen the owner of that name. “We don’t talk about Axel,” Neveah said while looking serious. Lucas pursed his lips because of the attitude of his companion. “I could sing a song about that!” She then turned the atmosphere by making a funny commentary. Lucas rolled his eyes again for the nth time. They arrived a the last stall where they sell variety and some random things some accessories. “Welcome, Ma’am and sir! What can I do for you? I have many products that would benefit you, I have books, pieces of jewelry, clothes, umbrella, or oh-oh-oh-” The old lady was somehow enthusiastic about the arrival of both of them. She then rummaged into some hug box. “Couple sets!” She then showed various couple sets to the two young adults. Both, Neveah and Lucas’s faces were filled with horror and disgusts.
“No! We are not a couple!” Neveah quickly dismissed her but the old lady did not budge. “What are you saying? You two look cute together! Is it because your relationship is a secret?” She said in a loud voice. Both of them panicked. “No madam we’re not--” Lucas was cut off by her. “Oh, then I have some couple sets that are very discreet! It would surely never find out with your parents,” She then rummaged again. “No!-” Lucas tried to stop her. “Unbelievable!” Neveah said while facepalming. Suddenly, she saw something in the corner of her eyes. She quickly snapped her head and a familiar figure was standing while staring at the seven angels on the fountain. Her hair was wavy and blonde. She wasn't short nor she was tall. Her stature was very elegant. As if she was an “Angel?” The moment she said that the said woman looked in her direction. Even from the distance, Neveah can clearly identify what color her eyes were. The muffled voices of the saleslady and Lucas was heard but Neveah was somehow in a trance while staring at the woman.
He felt a strong force on her chest and quickly glance a tit. Her necklace was illuminating white light. Neveah widened her eyes. “The last white knight’s remnants,” She held the necklace and stared at it. A low voice resonates in her ear. The voice sounded like a man and he was calling out to someone.“What the?” She was confused and when she looks at the woman again she was nowhere to be found. She quickly look back to the necklace and it wasn't glowing anymore. Neveah stood there still processing what was happening. “Okay, we’re not a couple but we gotta go!” Lucas said at the obnoxious sales lady and drags Neveah far from the stall. Lucas wiped off the sweat that was caused by dealing with the sales lady. He exhaled. “That was a lot harder than dealing with Kion,” He commented to his companion but Neveah was quite. It was a rare sight to see. “Neveah? You okay?” Larcade asked in a gentle manner. She heard Neveah whispering something but he could not clearly heard what was it. “Neveah?” Suddenly Neveah snapped her head to look at Lucas. The said guy flinched at this. “You scared the s**t out of me dude!” He said while clutching his chest. She muttered something unde there breat and Lucas furrowed her eyebrows. “What?”
“Uriel. The necklace called out to Uriel.”
