“Isis?!” A woman’s voice can be heard in the entire living room. Her face laced in worry as she watches her dear friend frantically running to the door wanting to head out. The people inside follow her. “What are you doing, Isis?” A man called out to her which make her stop. The woman turned around. Her facial features were visible. She has straight long hair with bangs, his skin is a beautiful colored copper. ‘Isis?’ Larcade widened his eyes when he saw the familiar woman. It seems like he was transmigrated into a place that was unknown. He scanned the entire living room and realized that It was the inside of the abandoned mansion. Minus the furniture and the decorations, the entire look of the living room is the same as the ruins in the mansion. But Larcade’s question is that how did he end up in the mansion when he surely thought that he was in the car with his friends. Larcade watches the scene unfold him, not knowing what to do. “Isis? What’re you going to do?” A blonde woman came up to Isis. She had the same features as Isis in which made Larcade confused. “Mom, I had to go there. I need to fix this mess.” Isis look at his mom, determined. The blonde woman sighed. She was frustrated because of her daughter's stubbornness. “Achlys, your daughter can’t be stopped.” A man touched Isis’ mother's shoulders when Isis went out with a loud thud from the door the said woman covered his face. The sense of giving up evaded all of her sense as she knelt down on the cold floor. The people run to her side trying to help her, comforting words were thrown at her. Larcade stares at the scene confused. ‘Larcade?’ Suddenly the entire scene froze, everyone inside the living room didn’t move an inch. Larcade was confused for a second, but then, the woman who was named Achlys turned her head in Larcade’s direction. Larcade was horrified when her stares bore at her. Her mouth opens saying something however Larcade didn’t get it. Her voice wasn’t heard but he was sure that she said something. “Larcade!” A voice ring around his head, he winces when a sudden pain and light dizziness can be felt. “Larcade!” He closed his eyes trying to regain his composure but to his dismay everything was painful, he gripped his head. “Larcade!” He opened his eyes but to his horror, Achlys was in front of her with wide purpled eyes staring straight at him. Larcade realized that this was no longer Achlys. “Larcade!” Larcade jolted upward, panting heavily, cold sweat trickled down his face. He met Neveah’s worried gaze. His eyes panned behind her seeing the remaining two staring at him. He gulped his saliva as he tried to adjust his breathing. “Are you okay? You were sweating in your sleep.” Neveah said. Larcade nods trying not to worry Neveah more. “Where are we?” Larcade sits up and looks outside the window. “We stopped. I had to pump up the gas,” Lucas said turning around to open his door. Damian glance at Larcade for a second before opening his door too, the cat following him. “Are you really okay?” Neveah asked still worried about his cousin’s welfare. Larcade smiled, “Yes.” Larcade decided to just hide the dream he had from Neveah to avoid her getting worried. Neveah knew that something is up with Larcade but she didn’t want to pressure him. Neveah thought that when the time comes Larcade will eventually tell her. After a minute of filling the gas and buying some snacks, they hit the road again. Larcade was sitting near the window in the back seat, the cat sitting between him and Damian. Neveah was in the front seat, eating strawberry-flavored biscuits while Lucas drive. “So how long do we arrive at our destination, Damian?” Neveah asked munching the biscuits while crumbs stick on her face and some fall to her seat. Lucas eye-sided her. “Long, I will tell you if we are near, just go straight ahead this road will lead us to the location,” Damian said, looking outside the window. ‘If I travel alone, I can surely go there in just a minute, however, I’m with these goons that’s why it will take too long.’ He thought but didn’t dare to say it Infront of everybody since he doesn’t want anything to fly upon him, knowing that the monstrous girl sitting in Infront of her can easily snap. “The ride is long, should we play some music?” Neveah suggested while plugging in the cord to her phone before Lucas can give her consent. “I have tons of music that are good for creating a good ambiance.” Neveah scrolls through her phone, wanting to find a good song. “Since we're on a road trip, I should pick a song that we can sing along,” Neveah said with excitement. “But I don’t know any song, you, humans have,” Damian informs her in which she ignores. His facial expressions were blank. “Okay, this should be it!” Neveah said tapping something, when we heard the intro, she dances lightly putting her phone down. I sock his duck with a smile for hours at a time, star— Neveah panicked. She turned off her phone. They sat there frozen comprehending the first lyrics of her chosen song. A moment of silence passed by inside the car, “So you suck dcks? I thought you're gay.” Lucas broke the awkward atmosphere. Neveah’s eyes twitched embarrassed. “We should not speak to this current situation ever again.” She said her eyes blank, giving up on looking for a song. Damian and Larcade sat in the back seat, pursing their lips not daring to say anything, too scared for what Neveah would do to them. Meanwhile couple of hours ago, somewhere inside the city, an underground lab was located. Water tanks lined up taking the room of the place. Inside the water, tanks are people with tubes and masks, currently in deep sleep. There’s a visible tube that was penetrated in their arms, blood flowing in it. A tall man with a bulky body came into the place. He wears a brown coat a hat and some black shades covering his eyes. The scientist who were conducting the experiments bow paying respects to him. “Sir, a small number of people woke up successfully after the blood transfusion.” A bald scientist came up to him, smiling widely. “Are their vitals stable?” The bulky man asked as he walk into the room opening the door. The room that he was in was just a small place and in the left corner, tempered glass was seen. Inside the glass are people who were sitting down. The control room. Where they monitor their experiments and run some tests that are not suitable for any audience. “Their vitals are very stable and it seems that their body completely accepts your blood sir.” The bald guy explained. The man stared at the people inside, it made them look down in fear. “Good.” His smile was horrifying for the people close to him, his aura was so dense that they can’t even move an inch. Nekane stares at his experiments like some dude with his chicken. “Finally, everything will be perfect.” Nekane said his voice as loud as any siren. They are currently 10 people in the room, waiting for any instructions given to them. All of the human insides was bought in the black market, people who are meant to be slaves, half of them are also people who live in poverty and needed money to survive, hence, they try to get any jobs or go as far as selling their own body just for money. ‘Humans are surely pathetic’ Nekane thought. Looking at them witch so much amusement. There’s an existent rule among sorcerers, this rule has always been obeyed for centuries. Is that they won’t interfere in any human activities or even their lives. But somehow there is always one person who will neglect all rules. Nekane is one. He thinks that humans were just something that he can control and trash away like some toy. He thinks that they are just some filth that doesn’t deserve to be living in the same world as them. One of one thousand reasons why he chooses humans as an experiment like lab rats. Nekane scanned the people inside and grinned. “Test them, let’s see how powerful they are.” Nekane sat down on a chair that was given to him. The bald scientist that was accompanying him, walked and headed to the mic. “Listen well, rats. I was given an order to test all of you who survived the experiment.” His voice was booming to the other side of the room. The patient’s attention was caught by him. “The test is simple,” The bald scientist started, “Each one of you should kill a life in the time limit of 60 seconds failed to do the test will be eliminated.” The patient’s faces laced with horror after hearing what he said. They were hesitant, killing a human’s life was beyond their rational minds. There were 10 people in the room. All of them went silent. “Excuse me, sir?” A man raised his hands, his hair was neatly styled and his eyeglasses shine. “Yes, young man?” The bald scientist. “What do you mean by eliminating?” He asked staring at glass boring his eyes to the people from the other side. “Eliminate means death.” He answered. Most of the people gritted their teeth, hesitant to do anything. If they do the test there is a possibility that they would be preyed on and if not, they will also get eliminated, both sides have the same results. They'll still die. “Forget it!” A man shouted, he headed to the person near him and stabbed him with a metallic weapon that replaced his hands. Blood spurted everywhere, some screamed, some went silent. “Patient number 8, passed.” The voice was heard through the speaker. After a moment of silence, the room was becoming hell, all of the patients started fighting with each other, using their newly found supernatural abilities. Nekane’s laughed filled the entire room as he watches the commotion. Blood spilled everywhere from the tiled floor to the tiled wall, everything was horrifying and gruesome. Patient number 8 was even perished despite passing the test. There were only 20 seconds remaining, four of them passed. However, they are five of them remaining in the room. A blonde guy without any blood on his shirt walked in front of the mirror, 10 seconds left. “The test required is to kill a life, am I right?” He started, with 8 seconds remaining. “Yes.” The bald scientist said. “Then, pardon me.” He said with a grin, he raised his palms directing to the other scientist beside the bald one. “I think what I’ll do might be disrespectful to you.” 5 seconds remain. A magic beam appeared in his palm and shoot to the random scientist beside the bald one, killing him. TIMES UP. "You never tell us specifically so I just assumed that I can kill a life outside this room. Sorry, my bad." Everyone in the room fell silent, trying to process the unexpected turn of events. Nekane laughed, amused. The bald scientist fell onto his knees touching his colleague’s blood that was spilled on the floor, his co-worker’s torso was gone and his hips to his legs were the only ones remaining. The blast was powerful, but for a human who just newly obtain supernatural power, he sure can control his magic. The blonde man stared at Nekane unamused. “What’s your name, boy?” Nekane approached him, the control device and the now shattered glass was the only one keeping them apart. “I don’t have one.” The blonde kid said, turning his back and facing Nekane. “Don’t you remember? You bastard brought me in here 10 years ago. It’s been a decade, I already forgot. And, I actually don't care” He said nonchalantly. “It was hard, I wanted to kill all of you right here the moment I woke up but somehow I decided not to do that.” Nekane laughed again, treating the current situation as a joke. “And, why’s that?” The blonde kid glance at him, staring into Nekane’s eyes, his red irises were filled with bloodlust. “Well, I want to keep stronger and become more powerful, and killing all of you would make my objective, impossible.” He said, clenching his fist. A light golden magic aura surrounds the entire room, the remaining patients were shocked, the aura makes them vomit because of its sickening feeling. Two horns that look like a ram’s started growing on each side of his head and a tail appeared behind him. Nekane smirked. “Hey, you.” The bald scientist finally gaining his composure, stands up to his boss’ call. “Which blood did you put inside him?” Nekane asked. “It was the captive demon that was recently just escaped sir.” Nekane scoffs, just as he expected. The kid’s current appearance was a perfect replica of the said demon. “Then I should call you, Loki.” The blonde man turned his head, sock. “Loki, it is then.” Nekane jump to the next room, landing in Infront of the blonde kid, towering over all of the patients. He put up his hands to Loki's left shoulder. He scanned the remaining patients; he noticed the numbers that were pasted onto their clothes. The remaining patients were, # 6, 9, 10, 5, and He look back to the kid beside him, reading his number. One It says. Nekane grinned. “All of you are perfect to be,” Nekane turned around walking away the patients followed behind him. “My guard dogs.”
