Larcade, Lucas, and Neveah sit on the ground with a thud. They were under the same tree. They huffed while their sweats trickled down and even stick on their clothes making them soaking wet. They were tired for all afternoon training their physical bodies. They’ve been training under the scorching sun until it sets. They groaned as they feel the soreness of their muscles because of the intense training.
They noticed a small figure approaching them. They can’t help but pan their heads at the figure. It was Holda holding a tray of wooden cups filled with water. She gives it one by one to the tired misfits and also to Damian. Neveah can’t help to exclaim when she tastes the water.
“This is different from the water at my home! Is this mineral water?” She said as she scan the wooden cups.
“Is this organic?” Lucas said after her.
“ It comes from the waterfalls not too far from here. The water nymphs guard it and nurture the water that’s why it’s so fresh. I can gladly give you some more if you're still thirsty!” Holda boasted. Neveah immediately nod at her words and then passed the wooden cup to her gently. Holda chuckled at her enthusiastic nature. Larcade and Lucas followed suit. After the small creature left. They were left admiring the orange sky. Damian wonders what happened to Arash now that they give him so much time but he quickly dismissed his uneasiness. He knows that Arash is capable of finding it and his trust in him is denser than the strongest metal in the world.
“ I analyze your training stats,” A voice suddenly came in from above them. Some of them slightly flinched and some snap their heads above. Kion was there flying above them with glasses and a clipboard like some teacher. All of them made a blank expression, “What the hell are you doing?” Neveah sad with her eyebrows clashed. Her face was contoured with bewilderment. They all stared at the criosphinx who was busy doing something on the clipboard.
“Oh just a record of my observations on your recent training,” He said trying to look like a professional. He landed on the ground in front of the four. “ Observations? Let me see,” Neveah said excitedly. Kion nod and show them the clipboard. What they saw made Neveah’s grin fall into a frown. All four of them were dumbfounded when they saw scribbles written on the paper, ‘Am I an i***t to trust a four-legged lion with a ram’s head?’ Neveah thought while looking into space. Acting dramatic.
“What the hell is this?” Lucas said after a moment of silence. “Your records,” Lucas stared at him blankly. “It looks like a 1 years old Sri-” Larcade who doesn’t want to dismay Kion, covers Lucas’s mouth. It was obvious that the criosphinx was putting all of his efforts to make those records and the least Larcade wants is to disappoint him, “Thank you Kion,” Larcade said with a smile.
“So can you tell us about it?” Larcade started. Kion cleared his throat, readying himself to present in front of them. Lucas also did the same that caught Larcade’s attention. Larcade then quickly retracts his hands on Lucas’s mouth.
“I had all of Lucas,” Lucas focused his attention on Kion, “Neveah,” She pointed to herself the moment she heard her own name, “And, Larcade.” All three of them anticipated that they had already forgotten the scribbles written on the paper. They feel serious even if part of them don’t want them to.
“All of you are, f****d up,” Kion said with a grin as he threw the glasses and clipboards away. All of them froze at the word. “He’s right though. It's not actually surprising since you’ve just recently been exposed to this kind of intense training. But, overall it’s not even an inch worthy of praise,” Damian said as he look at his three companions one by one. The trio felt dismayed. But they know that it would be impossible to accomplish it in a day. The only problem is that there would be no time. They had to take every second of the time they had without wasting it. Arash would eventually come to them sooner or later to tell them the location of the Elementia but before that, they have to get their wits together and be able to have strength and power to defeat their enemies.
“Then how can we power up immediately?” Neveah said standing up. “We’re only humans,” She ended. Kion chuckled, “You are a human, both guys behind you aren’t,” Kion said while pointing at Larcade and Lucas. “Wow, that’s so obvious, don't you think so?” Neveah said with a hint of sarcasm in her tone.
“I’m a human!” Lucas raised his hands, “Me too,” Larcade joined in. Kion shake his contradicting what they said. “You are to be the great and you boy You are something but human,” Kion walks towards them. He stood up using his back legs and while the other two front legs were resting on both Larcade and Lucas’s shoulders. They stumbled when they realized how heavy his arms were.
“It’s extremely offensive, I have no intention to be the great one,” Larcade said removing Kion’s arms. At the sudden loss of support, Kion’s arms immediately fell making him stumbled dragging Lucas with him. Kion and Lucas groaned. “Then why are you doing this?” Kion said while looking up at Larcade. He regained himself and stand on both four legs. “Why are you troubling yourself if you do not want it? Are you just giving us false hope?” Kion's words stuck Larcade deep. He frowns at the question and doesn’t know how to answer.
Silence fell after Kion asked. Neveah and Lucas stand there awkwardly as they look at Larcade. They can’t find and do not dare to interrupt the serious moment. “That’s enough Kion,” Damian said in a stern tone. He glares at Kion as a warning and the criosphinx huffed, “Don’t blame me, I just felt disappointed that’s all,” Kion said before flying away. Larcade watch the creature and remembered those questions that he uttered, ‘You think I’m pathetic, don’t you? Well, just like you I am also not to blame,’ Larcade thought.
After what seems like an awkward situation. Holda invited them to the Big Tree. Holda guide them to a certain hall and Neveah and Lucas were surprised to see a room just for them.
“Such a luxurious room just for us?” Lucas and Neveah said in unison. Holda nods with a chuckle. “Well, it’s hard for me to look at you sleeping on the floor so I just asked Arash to give you all some proper rooms and he willingly agrees!” Holda stated, “He even was surprised to know that you've been sleeping on grounds, “ Neveah smiled, ‘We’re not technically sleeping on the grounds but-’ “This is so big I like it thank you!” She said to Holda. Voice filled with sincere.
