Chapter 81: His Decision

1129 Words
I sat down on the same tree that we hung out the first time we got to tour the creature realm. I sighed as I took in the peaceful atmosphere. I remove my necklace and put it on my palms. I stared at it. So many things had happened, unusual things. Who would've thought that I got to encounter such powerful beings? I recall when I was a kid I wanted to be a hero. I wanted to save my loved ones and protect them. But as I thought, it was never easy.  I suddenly recalled Loki's past that I witnessed with the help of those supernatural beings. I lived my whole life with a silver spoon that I could not help to feel awful about what I had witnessed. Gabriel wanted me to see it. Wanted me to use the opportunity. But I was still baffled. What could I use with that information? I clutched the necklace in my hands.  With that thought, Loki's face appeared in my mind. Loki’s face contoured with surprise and a glint of guilt shone into his eyes I blew a raspberry for no reason. These thoughts drive me to an edge. I then thought about Larcade. " It's been that he's so exhausted by using his powers, forcibly. An individual who is destined to be the great uses his powers before awakening, it could really take a toll on his body,"  Arash said when he checked up on Larcade a while ago.  I also could not believe that Lucas was a momma's boy. With that thought I chuckled to myself.  But, Lucas also did not have a good childhood. He was traumatized by his mother leaving him, not to mention, she was a supernatural being. He was also bound to take care of his brother all his life, and that stupid Mark who manipulated him, he did not have a happy living the way he's been living his life. "Lucas you're an annoying bastard" I muttered under my breath. "Just because I'm not here doesn't mean that you could curse me whenever you want," A familiar voice came up from behind the tree. I turned to look and saw Lucas leaning at the trunk with his arms crossed. I give an unamused expression and it seems I hit a nerve. He sighed. Maybe, giving up the idea to fight with me. “You and Damian really gon fight at that time,” I said. My statement made me laugh. Lucas rolled his eyes not acknowledging my statement. “You look like two males fighting for one girl,” I continued and he looked at me with a dumbfounded expression that made me laugh hard. I wiped my tears as I tried to hold back my laughter.  “He is crazy,” Lucas commented. “Who’s crazy?” A familiar voice made me and Lucas flinched. We turn our heads to our side and saw Damian approaching us. “Wow for a long distance you sure could hear us,” I commented. Damian looks down at me, his usual nonchalant expression resting on his face. His horns shine because of the light and his tails sway as he walks.  “And for your information, Lucas is the one who said you’re crazy, '' I said and pointed at the guy beside me. Lucas was surprised and half terrified that he drudge my arm hard. I hissed at this. Damian ignored us and sat down beside me. I look at him with my brow raised, my face questioning his entire existence and why he sat with us. “ Fix your face or in a second, a black hole would swallow that,” He said but he wasn;t looking at me. I immediately did what he said. “Oh yeah, speaking of black holes, I completely blocked Loki’s black hole!” I said while looking at Damian with sparkling eyes. Part of me wanted to show off and some wanted to be complimented. Lucas glanced at me with surprised eyes, “Loki can do black holes?” He asked. Damian clicked his tongue and pushed my face away. “Anyone can do black holes, not just me,” He said with a monotone voice. Lucas and I look at him listening intently, “But, it looks just like yours! Work just like yours! And does just like yours!” I said. We then saw Damian scowl. Both of us slowly leaned away. “That’s the problem,” He said with gritted teeth. “ That darn copycat!” He utter, his voice laced with resentment to the said guy. “ I swear I’m going to rip him into pieces,” He said glaring into nothing. I and Lucas sat there in silence not wanting to be his target. But then suddenly I recall Loki’s past. “But I think he’s not that bad,” I voiced out and both males beside me reacted. Damian glaring at me with furrowed eyebrows and Lucas looking at me with wide eyes and jaw drop. “What the f**k are you talking about, dipshit?” Lucas was the one who talked first. I look at him after rolling my eyes. “ I mean, I think he’s not that evil? There are many people in this world who do evil acts but are actually good people!” I tried to convince them that I wasn’t crazy for viewing Loki like that. Both of them look at me as If I was really crazy. I grunt at their reaction. “It doesn’t mean that we could forget about their evil acts,” Damian replied. Lucas nodded, “And if what you said is true? Why did Loki become like that? A perfect replica of Damian who sided with the bad guys who wanted to kill your cousin in what? In just three days?!” Lucas reacted. His voice was loud as I look at him with a judgemental expression.  “I know, I know it’s just that---” I was about to explain to them why I said that but this b***h, Damian cut me off before I could end my supposed to be explanation, “Are you siding with the enemy?” He growled while glaring at me. I gulped down my words. But wait I could not be a victim of this man in front of me. I slap myself which made Lucas flinch at my random behavior. “ Nay!” I shouted. “How about nay? I would not be condemed in your atrocious behavior anymore! I am Neveah Collins! And I am proud to be who I am and  I say nay!” I said in a dramatic way as I imagined a pride anthem in the background.
